Flyght Academy continued their recent tradition with their Sunday Open Run. With many of the top local players attending as of late, this event has become one of the best events right now for high school basketball. Today I look at some brand new names that debuted or were new from my last visit to Flyght Academy.

[player_tooltip player_id="918997" first="Allen" last="Lattimore"] (West Carrollton)- Impressed me with a more slashing style of play. Spent much of his time at Stivers known for his shooting ability. He has improved quickness off the perimeter and has shown he will be able to score from multiple levels once AAU continues in July.

[player_tooltip player_id="919018" first="Damontay" last="Raglin"] (Trotwood-Madison)- I would argue Raglin was one of the best prospects during the open gym. Growing at least 2 inches since we last saw him, Raglin has developed a better feel for his lengthier body around the rim. Long arms and elite athleticism allows him to be a force on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="967147" first="Isaiah" last="Ramey"] (Cedarville)- Another prospect that has grown since we last saw him. Much improved and more relaxed on the floor. Showed he could distribute the basketball while also utilizing his frame on the interior.

Jakob Reed (Stebbins)- Smaller 2-guard; does the basics quite well. I was impressed with his explosiveness on the dribble drive as he used quick hands and footwork to get by defenders. We already knew he could shoot the ball but now we can see his offensive bag has much improved.

[player_tooltip player_id="921752" first="Adam" last="Duvall"] (Beavercreek)- Lengthy PF. Versatile. Has inside-out potential but needs to improve his quickness and finesse his post moves. Handles the ball for a forward and not afraid to push the tempo in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id="805218" first="Carter" last="Mims"] (Trotwood-Madison)- Incredibly fast PG. Loves to push the ball in the fast break. Tough build and not afraid to attack bigger opponents. Finishes at the rim well for a smaller guard.

[player_tooltip player_id="593930" first="Nate" last="Johnson"] (Lakota East)- Unreal and unmatched athleticism. Offensively has a great bag of offensive skills. Solid vision, shooting touch, and incredible athleticism and elevation. Big defender that combines his size with quick footwork to be one of the best perimeter defenders in the State.

Delamarr Blanton (Trotwood-Madison)- One of two incoming freshmen on display this weekend. Physically though he doesn’t look like a 9th grader. Strong upper body, quick handles especially between the legs. Fast PG.

[player_tooltip player_id="922599" first="Will" last="Maxwell"] (Oakwood)- Impressed with his bounce Sunday. Combines elevation with a solid shooting touch. Mismatch on the perimeter due to his length and ability to score in a multitude of ways.

Deshaun Huffman (Dunbar)- Solid defensive presence. Moves his feet and does not use his hands on the ball. Pretty decent size for a guard. Additionally finishes above the rim and has the quickness to find the lane.
