Film Room: 2022 Chicago North Suburbs Prospects Pt 2

<p>With no spring and summer basketball going on we wanted to do a deep dive into the prospects across the state by reviewing their season long highlight tapes and giving our evaluation of their strengths as a prospect along with projected college level.  Here is our <strong>Film Room: 2022 Chicago North Suburbs Prospects Pt 2</strong>!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="996076" first="Donavyn" last="Sayles"] (Belvidere North)</strong></p> <p>Sayles has a physically imposing frame with raw strength and broad shoulders.  Listed at 6’4” and probably not going to grow much more.  He is a power player around the hoop that bodies bouncy off.  Finishes below the rim and is a little mechanical.  Makes up for that with his touch and relentless motor.  Scrappy rebounder.  Small college undersized four.</p> <p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_nYA4dFBUE&amp;feature=emb_logo">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_nYA4dFBUE&amp;feature=emb_logo</a></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863593" first="Danny" last="Wolf"] (Lake Forest Academy)</strong></p> <p>Wolf stands at about 6’10” and is a face up four that presents skill.  Plus shooter from beyond the three point arc off the catch.  Hits them spotting up, off ball screens in pick/pop, etc.  Quiet shot and consistent mechanics.  Also mixes in a push/runner shot from 12 feet in.  Skilled passer that always has his head up looking to make a play.  Should be on the low-major &amp; mid-major radar.</p> <p><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12116475/5e8d1e0e3448d70d28ddc99d">https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12116475/5e8d1e0e3448d70d28ddc99d</a></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863617" first="Shaedon" last="Simpson"] (Lake Forest Academy)</strong></p> <p>Really like the upside with this 6’4” shooting guard.  Long, wiry, and bouncy athlete on the wing.  Gets to the rim in transition where he finishes with athletic layups.  Slick straight line slasher in the half court.  Can hit from both mid-range and three.  Good form on his spot up jump shot.  Low-major plus prospect.</p> <p><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/13802587/5e7fea82b5362c1084ce342a">https://www.hudl.com/video/3/13802587/5e7fea82b5362c1084ce342a</a></p> <p><u> </u></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863592" first="Darius" last="Duff"] (Lake Forest Academy)</strong></p> <p>Duff is a 6’3” shooting guard with plus athleticism.  He has a burst off the bounce on his first step.  Slashing guard that finishes with athleticism at the rim.  When a defender closes hard on him he is comfortable stepping in for a one dribble pull up.  Does have deep range on his three point shot.  Low-majors and mid-majors should take a look!</p> <p><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12116477/5e8baab5b018b707684bf002">https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12116477/5e8baab5b018b707684bf002</a></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="863581" first="Nigel" last="Hylton"] (Lake Forest Academy)</strong></p> <p>Hylton is one of the more intriguing big men in the class.  He broke out last fall at Pangos and followed it up with an up and down year at LFA, but the potential is toward the top of the 2022 class in Illinois.  Long and mobile four man that is more of a smooth athlete than explosive.  Biggest asset in his skill set right now is his ability to stretch the floor with his shooting.  High and quick release on his shot with consistent accuracy.  Makes plays in the mid-post catching the ball and turning for a jumper.  Also likes shooting it from 15 feet on the baseline.  Runs the floor pretty well.  In the post he is most effective catching a pass, using a power dribble, and then getting it up on the glass for a score.  Mid-major plus prospect that could easily turn into a high-major guy.</p> <p><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/13802578/5e8c888a0660f20cd8462d93">https://www.hudl.com/video/3/13802578/5e8c888a0660f20cd8462d93</a></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="925203" first="Michael" last="Nowak"] (Lake Forest Academy)</strong></p> <p>Nowak is a plus shooter from three point territory.  Good spot up shooter and shoots well off of movement.  Cuts to the ball receiving passes for layups as well.  He is a D3 prospect at this stage.</p> <p><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/13802582/5e8100c7578deb087057c1c3">https://www.hudl.com/video/3/13802582/5e8100c7578deb087057c1c3</a></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Yoseph Oliff (Niles North)</strong></p> <p>Oliff is a 5’11” point guard that is probably more effective right now playing off the ball.  Elite level shooter with great mechanics.  Drills shots over and over again off the catch and pulling up.  Mixes in some runners after a hard shot fake getting by his defender.  Potential D2 player.</p> <p><a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12116393/5e72dc8fc119de04d82cd019">https://www.hudl.com/video/3/12116393/5e72dc8fc119de04d82cd019</a></p>
