The Cape-Atlantic League is losing some incredible, Division I talent this season. The good news is that there are plenty of returning players that will pick up the slack and continue the dominance of the conference.

[player_tooltip player_id="900329" first="Marcus" last="Pierce"] (2021) | St. Joe’s (Hamm.)

St. Joe’s (Hamm.) might enter 2020-2021 as the favorite in the conference. They are returning two of the top players in the area in Pierce and [player_tooltip player_id="901951" first="Daniel" last="Skillings"]. Pierce was one of the top free throw shooters in the state with 172 made on the year. He is a force when going to the basket. He can score from all over the floor and run an offense with great fluidity.

Gannon Brady (2021) | Ocean City

Ocean City was a primarily young team that won 17 games this season. Brady was their offensive leader with 462 points. He knocked down 30 three’s and proved to be an offensive threat at all three levels. Brady will be returning in 2020-2021 and will be one of the most watched players in the area.

[player_tooltip player_id="900295" first="Matthew" last="Delaney"] (2021) | St. Augustine

St. Augustine has two key returners in Delaney and [player_tooltip player_id="901944" first="Elmarko" last="Jackson"]. Delaney was one of the top big men in the conference last season and he will return for one more season. He led St. Augustine with 16 points per game. The big man showed his ability to score with his back to the basket and around the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id="927391" first="Martin" last="Anguelov"] (2021) | Wildwood Catholic

Wildwood Catholic is one of the teams taking a huge hit by losing [player_tooltip player_id="766090" first="Taj" last="Thweatt"] and [player_tooltip player_id="896442" first="Jahlil" last="White"]. Anguelov is their top returning scorer from last season. He led the team with 55 three’s. Anguelov will immediately become a top option on one of the best programs in the state. He will have to show that he can take over games on the offensive end.

Elijah Jones (2021) | Pleasantville

Jones is a key returner for Pleasantville as they look to take the next step. At 6’6, Jones has a wide skill set that is effective on both ends. Jones is a rim protector on the defensive end and can lead a team in scoring on the block. He is a player that can take Pleasantville to where they want to be in 2020-2021.

Kyree Tinsley (2021) | Cedar Creek

Tinsley will have big shoes to fill with Najee Coursey on his way out in 2020. Cedar Creek is losing their No. 1 option and will be in need of another. That is where Tinsley comes into play. He will thrive in an extended role and that is what the team will need next season.
