3-Pack: 2021 Guards To Watch

<p>The change in the recruiting cycle is going to be a big change for everyone. Right as we thought we were going to be getting out on the road, we get shut down. So, in order to spend as much effort as we can in getting players seen, we are going to do what we call, 3-Packs. </p> <p>With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2021 Guards in [player_tooltip player_id="874155" first="Austin" last="Ezell"], [player_tooltip player_id="569350" first="Jake" last="Heidbreder"], and [player_tooltip player_id="874133" first="Luka" last="Balac"]. </p> <p style="text-align: center;"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/iSMF6KWXIz4" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="874155" first="Austin" last="Ezell"] – 5’11 PG 2021 – Brebeuf Jesuit (IN)</strong><br /> <strong>Stats</strong>: 8.0 ppg, 1.5 rpb, 1.5 apg  <br /> <strong>Thoughts</strong>: Ezell is a long, rangy lead guard who really showed his shooting ability this past season. He really showed a ton of improvement during his junior season. He is really solid shooting off the catch and has shown at times that he can drive to the rim. He has the long legs and arms to be a good defender. Does have enough handles to drive and slash but does more of that in the open floor. He is a tall guard with some solid mobility and skill. Has a smooth outside jumper and can really get hot at any moment. He has the ability to stay on the ball and create shots for himself. Needs to add a little bit more size but when he does he will be able to switch to the 3 spot from time to time. He just is a really smart player that knows how to get his team points. Currently has offers from schools like Indiana State, Furman, Vermont, and Elon. Tough player that can make a ton plays for his team on both sides of the ball. Smart player with good vision and passing ability. Smooth jumper but is an excellent finisher at the rim. Would like to see just a tad more speed in his play. Would argue that he is one of the stronger shooting guards in the 2021 class. Really is an impact type player that has a ton of potential to breakout this upcoming season.     </p>
