The 2022 class is a good one at the top but over the next 6-9 months, some of these players will have a chance to shine in their Junior seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id="801637" first="Jaden" last="Schooler"], Fern Creek - The son of Fern Creek’s head coach, Schooler was a role player as a Sophomore and could see a bigger role this season. While his natural position is point guard, Jaden is likely best as a catch and shoot guard alongside [player_tooltip player_id="922990" first="Jaden" last="Rogers"] or [player_tooltip player_id="926893" first="Darien" last="Lewis"].

[player_tooltip player_id="926909" first="Julion" last="Beard"], Butler - Beard has patiently waited for his chance to run the offense for Butler and his time has come. Two years ago he was the floor general for a talented Butler freshman team that will be the majority of the varsity rotation for the Bears this season. Capable of getting into the paint or knocking down an open 3, Julion should see a huge uptick in playing time and production this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="926917" first="Donovan" last="Robinson"], Ryle - Donovan was the leading scorer for the Raiders as s Sophomore and could be a 20 point per game scorer in his Junior season. Robinson struggled to score the ball inside the 3 point line and would really benefit from being more aggressive getting into the paint as he is an excellent free throw shooter. Added bulk would go a long way towards helping him finish through contact and becoming one of the top Juniors in the 9th region.

[player_tooltip player_id="926914" first="Trey" last="Lovell"], Muhlenberg County - Another volume shooter on this list, Lovell and Senior [player_tooltip player_id="923010" first="Nash" last="Divine"] make up one of the best backcourts in western Kentucky but for the Mustangs to make the next step, both will need to become more efficient with their scoring. Lovell specifically struggled after a broken wrist but returned to play with a brace which likely hindered his shooting. Either way, Trey can be a top point guard in the 2022 class with improved scoring efficiency and has a chance to be a scholarship level recruit eventually.

[player_tooltip player_id="926905" first="Danye" last="Frazier"], Madisonville-North Hopkins - Madisonville loses a lot to graduation but Frazier is one of the few veterans on their roster. Predominantly a facilitator on offense until now, Danye will need to take a scoring role, especially early in the Maroons’ season. In addition to needing to provide an offensive spark, Frazier will be counted on to contribute on-court leadership as well as offense early on.

[player_tooltip player_id="926903" first="Qua" last="Chambers"], Christian County - Chambers missed 12 games combined over the course of his Sophomore year and will need to stay on the court if he wants to get in the mix among the top guards in the 2nd region. More of a slasher than a shooter, Qua and fellow Junior [player_tooltip player_id="801611" first="Olajuwon" last="White"] will be a formidable duo if Chambers can penetrate and drop it off to White for easy finishes. Qua only shot 4/18 from three in 19 games last year. If he can improve his shooting, he can be a difference maker in a wide open 2nd region.
