Maddox Alipate Maddox Alipate 6'1" | PG Benilde-St. Margaret's | 2022 State MN of Lakeville South (6’1 PG). Maddox had a fantastic 15u season as a dual threat guard. He played junior varsity this year at South and will likely play a key role for the next two years for both the Fury and the Cougars.
Mekhi Collins of Mankato West (6’5 SF). Mekhi is somewhat of a golden boy of high school athletics. All conference athlete as a sophomore in both high school football AND basketball plus Mekhi has a 38 grade point average! Was offered by Iowa State in football and heard from North Dakota State this week for hoops. Averaged 11.8 points, 6.6 rebounds 3.1 assists, 2.2 steals, and 2.2 blocks a game commonly doing some of everything for the Scarlets.
Sam Fliehe Sam Fliehe 6'5" | SF Lakeville South | 2022 State MN of Lakeville South (6’4 SG). As a sophomore Sam filled a key role for the Cougars playing beyond his years effort and court IQ wise. Scored three buckets a game for South but that doesn’t speak to his overall consistency. A total team player who will never make a personal choice that hurts the team.
Brady Haugum Brady Haugum 6'1" | SG Mankato West | 2022 State MN of Mankato West (6’0 PG). When it comes to outstanding passers, Brady has to be talked about. In watching West this year, Brady’s ability to handle and see the court really stood out.
Brady Helgren Brady Helgren 6'8" | C Edina | 2022 State MN of Edina (6’8 Forward). Right now I believe I have Brady ranked 26th in the class. Two things about that: 1) I think after watching his games/film I think he is more of a top 20 guy and 2) in a non super stacked talent year Brady could potentially be a top 10 kid. That’s how good he is and how much potential is there. Appalachian State, North Dakota, North Dakota State, and Minnesota-Duluth are aware as they have called early. The combo forward averaged 11 a game this year.
Nick Katona Nick Katona 6'6" | SF Shakopee | 2022 State MN of Shakopee (6’6 SF). Shakopee didn’t need many baskets from Katona this year, they needed his rebounding and defense plus some finishing when Nick had the chance. He gave the team that and now he will step into an upperclassmen role with the chance to have two special years on both ends. Utah State, Appalachian State, St Thomas, North Dakota State, Minnesota-Duluth, and South Dakota State all called on the top 10-15 level player.
Jackson Loge Jackson Loge 6'7" | C Morris Area | 2022 State MN of Morris Area (6’8 PF). One of the most skilled deep paint players, as well as one of the best touches facing the basket, that is Jackson Loge Jackson Loge 6'7" | C Morris Area | 2022 State MN . Loge averaged 23.1 points and 12.8 rebounds per game this year and this week Loge heard from Minnesota-Duluth, South Dakota State, Appalachian State, Liberty, Belmont, Augustana, North Dakota State, and St. Thomas.
Avery Mast Avery Mast 6'5" | PF Lakeville South | 2022 State MN of Lakeville South (6’5 SF). Avery Mast Avery Mast 6'5" | PF Lakeville South | 2022 State MN is a top 25 player in a very tough class of basketball talent and he does it with a web of versatility. This week NDSU and UMD called on him and eventually it will be more than that. In fact if you are strolling around as an NSIC coach I’m pretty sure you will be calling Avery some day and then hoping he goes D2 so you may as well do that now. Second leading scorer for a top ten Class AAAA team this year.
Cade Mcgraw Cade Mcgraw 5'10" | PG Shakopee | 2022 State MN of Shakopee (5’11 PG). Cade is likely the most forgotten about player in this class right now because he missed the winter season because of an injury. Make no mistake, he has the potential to be a top lead guard in this class. Cade was a first team all state player for 15u last summer.
Samuel Rensch Samuel Rensch 6'6" | SF Hutchinson | 2022 State MN of Hutchinson (6’6 Wing). Samuel Rensch Samuel Rensch 6'6" | SF Hutchinson | 2022 State MN . I have spoken a lot about Sam lately and with good reason, he’s a very talented player that I think very highly of. I ranked him 44th in this class early last spring and let me tell you, that ranking should be cut in half, no joke. This is a versatile, skilled player with great size for his position. Augustana offered plus North Dakota State, North Dakota, and Minnesota Duluth called on Sam.
