Here, we take a look at several 2021 guards that are on the cusp of drawing new offers with a big offseason.
Trey Abasolo Trey Abasolo 6'1" | CG Mulvane | 2021 State KS , 6’1, G, 2021, Mulvane
A second-team all-state selection, Abasolo is a talented offensive player who can shake defenders, handle the ball and put the ball in the basket in a variety of ways. He is able to beat defenders to the basket and finishes with either hand, but can also step out and make outside shots as well. Abasolo shows good range, but can also step inside the arc and make a mid-range jumper as well.
Zach Bloch, 6’1, G, 2021, Seabury
Bloch was a first-team all-state selection for his work for Seabury and we see a player on the cusp of drawing college suitors and are excited to see what the summer holds. He is a creative ball handler and finisher and plays with a calm, smoothness to his game. He plays within himself and can impact a game with his shooting, scoring abilities and ability to create offense off the bounce.
Christian Bowen-Webb Christian Bowen-Webb 6'2" | CG Bishop Miege | 2022 State KS , 6’3, G, 2022, Miege
Bowen-Webb had a breakout sophomore season for Bishop Miege and is poised for a big summer. He has good size and length, can play above the rim and has a well-rounded skill set at the offensive end of the court. Bowen-Webb can shoot from the outside, get to the basket and has an array of runners and floaters that he uses in traffic. Also a plus defender, he was an all-state selection in 2019-20.
Jacob Hanna Jacob Hanna 6'3" | CG Andover | 2021 State KS , 6’4, CG, 2021, Maize
Hanna impressed last season running with NLHA and he took a big step forward as a junior as he stepped into a varsity line-up that had graduated a lot of firepower from the 2018-19 season. He averaged 15 points and 5.6 rebounds per game and earned all-state honors for his efforts. Blessed with good size and length, Hannah is a plus athlete that can play above the rim, run the floor like a deer and has the quickness to beat defenders off the dribble.
Tanner Hecht Tanner Hecht 6'5" | CG Wamego | 2021 State KS , 6’5, CG, 2021, Wamego
Hecht is a player that has drawn the eye of several college programs in recent weeks and a big summer could solidify him as a next level prospect. He has good size with a sturdy frame and a well rounded skill set that translated to the next level. He can handle the ball, can stop and pop from behind the 3-point arc and can spot off on the line as well. He is coming off a junior season that saw him average 15.1 points and seven rebounds per game.
