Top Combo Guards in Sussex County

<p>Combo guards are extremely valuable on the perimeter because they know how to excel with or without the ball. Here are some of the top in Sussex County.</p>
<p><b>Aaron Fantasia (2021) | Newton</b></p>
<p>Newton won 17 games this season behind 506 points from their junior star guard. Fantasia was elite at all three levels but excelled in the lane. He was given the ball during crunch time and asked to make a play. Fantasia served as the quarterback of the offense and it was visible night in and night out. </p>
<p><b>[player_tooltip player_id="900356" first="Brendan" last="Franko"] (2021) | High Point</b></p>
<p>Franko was one of the underrated scorers in the state this season. He was a pure scorer at all three levels who averaged 17.7 points per game. He le High Point with 52 three’s and got the free throw line at will. He was able to run the offense if need be or hang out on the perimeter and look for an open shot.</p>
<p><b>Simon Valkema (2021) | Veritas Christian</b></p>
<p>Valkema is one of the key returners for an 18 win Veritas Christian team. He showed that he could take over a game on the offensive end which is something that he will have to do much of as a senior. Valkema can step out and shoot which he showed at times but his ability getting to the rim is hard to match.</p>
<p><b>Chris Ross (2023) | Wallkill Valley</b></p>
<p>The Class of 2023 is well represented on this list. Ross begins for Wallkill Valley after he averaged just under 10 points per game. He showed excellent quickness on the floor with or without the ball. He ran the floor well and showed a smartness in his game. </p>
<p><b>Troy Brennan (2023) | Lenape Valley</b></p>
<p>Brennan got some great experience in his first season at Lenape Valley. He scored 300 points and was effective on both ends. The freshman will continue to grow his game and turn into a compete duel-threat.</p>
