With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2021 Shooting Guards in Brody Whitaker Brody Whitaker 6'2" | SG Greencastle | 2021 State IN , Caleb Swearingen Caleb Swearingen 6'4" | SG Northview | 2021 State IN , and Connor Hickman Connor Hickman 6'2" | SG Bloomington South | 2021 State IN .

– 6’2 SG 2021 – Greencastle (IN)
Stats: 22.8 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 2.6 apg
Thoughts: Whitaker is a good sized shooting guard that loves to shoot the ball. Looks to stick around from 15ft and beyond as he rarely looks to drive. However, he has shown at times that he has the ability to drive. Really needs to hit the weight room and start adding some strength. Pretty tough on defense and is not afraid to step up and make a play. A suggestion would be to slow down a tad on offense because he had some games this year where he missed a lot of shots. Whitaker is a player that can provide a ton of scoring opportunities.
Caleb Swearingen

State
IN
– 6’3 SG 2021 – Northview (IN)
Stats: 16.4 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.8 apg
Thoughts: Swearingen is a tall skinny guard who plays with a tough mindset. Really is a “do it all” shooting guard that does not really excel in just one thing. He has a gotten a little bit bigger over the years but is still on the slender side. He can cause a ton of mismatch issues because he is so creative. Just has constantly improved each year in his high school career. Can play with the ball in his hands but will probably play more of an off guard as he continues to play. This prospect has a great upside.
Connor Hickman

State

– 6’2 SG 2021 – Bloomington South (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Hickman is a tall shooting guard who has a real smooth playing style. He continues his development as a scoring guard with some legit upside. He is real athletic and has a good mix of a solid jumper and ability to drive the lane. Currently has racked up a lot off offers from schools like Elon, Furman, Bradley, Evansville. Could legit play as a combo guard at the next level. Hickman is a great example of someone who has gotten substantially better every season since he started high school play. He will be one of the main stars for Bloomington South this upcoming season.
