1) RODNEY RICE | BULLIS | OVERALL RANK: #3
Rice is not just an elite three-level scorer with noteworthy range, but he’s becoming an outstanding playmaker as well. He can iso, work ball screens, or be a threat with his movement off the ball. Injuries cut his sophomore season short, but Rice is primed for another big year.
2) TREY THOMAS | WISE | OVERALL RANK: #10
Thomas is a physically gifted downhill-type guard who demonstrates the ability to absorb contact around the basket. He’s very active on the boards and a constant threat to initiate the fast break on his own. Thomas still has a lot of untapped potential and is an exciting prospect to monitor moving forward.
3) KYLE GASKINS | COOLIDGE | OVERALL RANK: #21
Gaskins is a smooth operator who can score from a variety of areas but also make plays for others. He is also a very good defender who can suffocate opponents with relentless ball pressure.
4) SHANE LANCASTER | ST. JOHN’S | OVERALL RANK: #27
Lancaster is a long-limbed guard who is steadily improving as he continues to grow into his body. He’s able to shoot the 3, defend multiples positions, and finish strong at the rim.
5) DYLAN WILLIAMSON | GOOD COUNSEL | OVERALL RANK: #35
Williamson is a shifty combo guard who keeps the ball on a string and is very adept at creating off the dribble. He competes defensively and is far from a liability on that end of the floor.
6) CJ LEE | CLARKSBURG | OVERALL RANK: #58
Lee is a skilled guard who can score from anywhere on the court. He seeks contact around the basket and can finish at odd angles. Lee is also a fierce competitor on the defensive end who plays with solid overall toughness.
7) BANKEYS OMARI | CLARKSBURG | OVERALL RANK: #75
Omari is a talented shot-maker with good length, athleticism, and defensive potential. One thing that is very admirable about his overall game is how hard he competes.
8) MIKE GRAY | LANDON | OVERALL RANK: #81
Gray is a stocky, skilled guard who is a very crafty scorer. He is adept at getting downhill and either scoring or dishing to an open teammate. Gray has improved defensively, showing that he will take an occasional charge, box out and routinely collect rebounds in his area.
9) BRAXTON CRUMPTON | GRACE BRETHREN | OVERALL RANK: #93
Crumpton is a terrific all-around guard prospect. He can score but is also a reliable playmaker and a competent defender. Crumpton displays all the intangibles that coaches adore.
10) PHILLIP FLEGLER | THEODORE ROOSEVELT | OVERALL RANK: #99
A defensive specialist, Flegler is an absolute menace on the ball. He is almost like the second coming of Patrick Beverley when you consider how passionate, prideful and productive he is on that end of the floor.
