Top Unsigned Seniors in Northwest Ohio

<p>While much of the talent in the state is arguably in the Northeast part of the state, several unsigned guys are still available and should be focused on for any D2s looking to add players. This list has a little bit of everything with point guards and wings, as well as some bigger players that can contribute in the frontcourt immediately. Take a look at these 5 guys still looking for a collegiate home.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>DaSean Nelson</strong> (Rogers)- Nelson was one of many contributing players for a Rogers team that made an impressive run through the tournament. With his true athleticism, combined with his ability to make plays at and above the rim, he is a target for low major D1s or some D2s looking for a stretch 4.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="588979" first="Jadakis" last="Mack"]</strong> (Lima Senior)- Another highly athletic individual, Mack has a ton of bounce, especially for a 6’3 shooting guard. Lethal above the rim as well as a defensive player, Mack is a more under-the-radar prospect for a loaded Lima team. His size and skillset make him a D2 target, however he could also be a candidate for an NAIA program wanting to build as well.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="711978" first="Ben" last="Westrick"]</strong> (Ottawa-Glandorf)- Westrick’s style of play is when you mix size with pure strength and get an absolute monster on the low post. At 6’7, Westrick does just this and literally makes plays through and over contact. His drive to go after rebounds makes him almost impossible to box out and stands out to me. While Prep Hoops does not know of any offers at this time, we believe Westrick would excel at the D2 level and could be a steal.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="800872" first="Ketaan" last="Wyatt"]</strong> (Rogers)- Wyatt’s season ended early due to a knee injury, but his skills should still allow colleges to be interested. The 6’3 point guard has a nice handle for the ball, showing control against high pressure defenses as well as a knack for getting the ball to his many talented teammates. He seems to excel in a more up-tempo style of play and makes great plays in the open court. Assuming all is well from his knee injury, a D2 school should consider looking into adding Wyatt.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="711936" first="Tahj" last="Staveskie"]</strong> (Sandusky)- The 6’0 point guard knows how to score the ball at a high level. Known for his outside shooting and impressive range, Staveskie is one of the better point guard prospects still available and should be kept on schools’ radars as he can help immediately with his scoring touch. His handle of the basketball especially between-the-legs on the perimeter is impressive and he demonstrates patience waiting for the right shot/pass.</p>
