Kareem Rozier (G, Orchard Lake St. Mary’s)
Rozier showed he is one of the best playmakers in the state. Rozier led the Eaglets in assist this season, Rozier is the type of point guard every coach wants on their roster a very vocal leader on and off the court. The sophomore guard is still vocal in helping his team even when he’s not in the game being an overall team player under any circumstance. Rozier seems to never get rattled no matter the game time situation going into his Junior year Rozier is destined for greatness!
Jamarion Wilson (G, U of D Jesuit)
Wilson proved he belonged on this list following his freshman season. Wilson did big things for U of D this year being their leader as he didn’t let being a freshman stop him from what he wanted to accomplish in the 2019-2020 season. Going into his sophomore year Wilson looks to help lead his crew to the state championship as he will be looked at a lot more this upcoming season giving him an even bigger role as he goes into his sophomore year!
Malik OLafioye (G, Ecorse)
Olafioye is a silent assassin, Olafioye has an unmatched work ethic putting in a lot of time off the court and it shows. As a freshman Olafioye stepped into a big role starting guard for Ecorse and didn’t disappoint led the team in points and assist. The freshman guard might not say much but makes his presence felt on the court every night doing what he has to do to lead the Raiders to a victory, With Olafioye leading the Raiders you can only imagine what’s in stores for the Raiders in the coming years!
Simon Wheeler Simon Wheeler 5'8" | PG Phhoenix Prep Post Grad | 2022 State AZ (G, Ypsilanti Lincoln)
Wheeler might be the most exciting player to watch on the list. Wheeler is a strong leader at the point guard position, the 5’9 guard seems to get the most excitement from setting his teammates up to score the ball. Wheeler can also attack the basket off the dribble and is unstoppable on a fastbreak getting to the basket, the junior guard battled injuries this past season leaving him sidelined a good amount of the season, with the season coming to an end early gives Wheeler an extended time to heal up after the ankle injury and come back 100% in his senior season with the Railsplitters looking to dominate and show even more why he is one of the top players in the state!
