During these tumultuous times, the avenue for schools to recruit kids has become far more stringent. With that being said, I would like to highlight some of the top players still available in the Miami metropolitan area.

Let’s get right into the list.

[player_tooltip player_id="716877" first="Brandon" last="Sanders"]: South Miami Cobras

A 6’10" center, Sanders was a defensive wizard for South Miami this past season. As a rock in the middle, the unsigned prospect averaged a staggering eight blocks per game. In addition, Sanders grabbed just over eleven rebounds contest, including three on the offensive end. Having Sanders in control of the paint could mitigate an opponents offensive flow. Even when he is not blocking shots, his long wingspan can alter a players shot trajectory. Based off his average, you can make an argument Sanders kept 16+ points off his opponents scoreboard. In my opinion, this kid is a steal who you can plug into a lineup on day one.

[player_tooltip player_id="827979" first="David" last="Perez-Miralles"]: Riviera Prep Bulldogs

The definition of a student-athlete, Perez-Miralles excelled athletically and academically for Riviera Prep. Off the court, Perez-Miralles holds a 4.1 GPA and a 1280 SAT. On the court, Perez-Miralles posted a 13.3 points per game average to go along with four assists per night. Moreover, the 6’2" guard is resilient on the defensive end of the floor, averaging 8.7 rebounds (three offensively) and 2.8 steals per game. Overall, Perez-Miralles is just a hard worker who will be an excellent addition to any program he chooses.

Anthony Lopez Jr.: Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack

Another sleeper, Lopez Jr. guided the Wolfpack to its second-consecutive state final four after averaging a team-high 20.8 points per game. At 6’4", Lopez Jr. has good size and can perform well at either guard spots. An excellent shooter, Lopez Jr. knocked down 43% of his 3-point attempts. At the line, the senior connected on 89% of his free-throws. Another strong student, the Brooklyn native holds a 3.4 GPA and a 1010 SAT.

[player_tooltip player_id="827997" first="Isaiah" last="Josue"] - Mater Academy Lions

In what was arguably the best team in the county, Josue helped Mater Academy to a 25-5 record and a spot in the 6A regional final. A durable 6’3" guard, Josue played in all thirty games for the Lions, averaging just over 10 points per game. Josue played some of his best ball late in the season, eclipsing his average in nine of his last ten games. Against state power Dillard, Josue poured in a season-high 21 points.

[player_tooltip player_id="552716" first="Carlos" last="Hart"] - North Miami Pioneers

At 6’6", Hart has the prototypical size you look for at the point guard position. On the floor, Hart guided North Miami to a 15-7 record after averaging 17.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.4 steals per game. Thanks to his physique, Hart amassed six games where he grabbed ten or more rebounds. Not only did this give North Miami a second opportunity to score, but it allowed Hart to show off the scoring assassin he is and burn opponents. Against Coral Park, Hart went off for 36 points on 14-for-25 from the field. A physical talent on anyone’s college roster.
