Early Impact 2023’s – Part 2
There’s just to much young talent in the state to stop at just 2. So, here is Part 3 of our look at impact players this season in the class of 2023:
D’Angelo Fitzpatrick (SF, Haslett)
Fitzpatrick could have a very bright future in high school basketball. He attacks the lane off the dribble, going from left to right. Fitzpatrick is a plus defender as well.
Ryan Hurst (CG, West Bloomfield)
Hurst proved to be an electrifying freshman. He showed the ability to put up buckets in bunches. Hurst is a versatile perimeter player, playing on or off the ball.
Tyler Jamison (G, Port Huron Northern)
Jamison has a mature game and a high basketball IQ. He’s a downhill player that can play quick, yet controlled. Jamison can finish at the rim through contact.
Xavier Thomas (Brother Rice)
Thomas is one if the top post prospects in the class of 2023. He’s very comfortable in the paint on offense. There’s no doubt that he’ll be a difference maker for years to come.
Damarie Thompson Damarie Thompson 5'10" | PG Godwin Heights | 2023 State MI (G, Godwin Heights)
The backcourt at Godwin Heights is in good hands for the next few years with Thompson teaming up with fellow freshman Jakhary Towns Jakhary Towns 6'1" | SG Godwin Heights | 2023 State MI . Thompson has good handles and is strong in a 1-on-1 scenario.
Mekhai Walker (SF, Cass Tech)
Walker showed a lot of promise as a prospect this season. The slippery wing showed that he could put up points and didn’t need to be ball dominant to do so.
Curtis Williams (G/F, Brother Rice)
Williams is a dangerous wing with D1 high major potential. He’s a shot maker through and through. Williams can pull up quick off the dribble and hit it with consistency.
