Hill is among the best senior players still available in the area. He is a relentless point guard, that is extremely effective when playing downhill. Defensively, he is extremely active, he is a three level scorer and his athleticism plays a big role in his ability to be so effective. Here is how he has been using his quarantine time to maintain his level of play:
I have “just been lifting weights and running around the neighborhood everyday. After that I spend time getting up shots, shooting on my goal outside.”

Absolutely can score the ball on all three levels. Plays with a ton of passion. Good passer. Can handle the ball in traffic@RcsSports @ExposureOtr @TxTakeover_Ned @OG_CoachKemp @PrepHoopsTX @Bballmom2540 pic.twitter.com/WlQwtOJ9sr— 𝔽𝕠𝕣𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕐𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕘 𝔽𝕚𝕝𝕞𝕤 SPORTS 🎥 (@4YFilms) March 29, 2020
Jake is an incredibly hard worker and his game is the proof of it. An absolute dead eye shooter from deep, Arnold has shown vast improvement in his defensive play on the perimeter, along with his ball handling. Jake was among the top scorers in the city and top in his class. Here is how he has been using his quarantine time to maintain his level of play:
“I wake up to do my school work in the morning and eat breakfast. Around 12, I start at least an hour of basketball and after basketball I get an hour of weights in or plyometrics. I try to eat the best that I can during this time as well.”

Fresh off of being named the MVP of District 16-6A, Lonzo looks to capitalize on a successful senior season. His plans may currently be hampered, but his work ethic ensures that his skills will not be. He is an athletic combo guard that can score in multiple ways and he is also one of the best perimeter defenders in the city. Here is how he has been using his quarantine time to maintain his level of play:
“I have this work out app it’s called HIIT. I do those everyday from 5-6:30. I also go jogging and get up shots when I can.”

One of the most athletic and explosive prospects of the city, Tim Moore Tim Moore 6'6" | PF Houston Madison | 2020 State TX Jr. helped lead the Madison Marlins deep into the Texas state Playoffs. He can stretch the floor and excels in rebounding and blocking shots. But he is most known for his creative and explosive dunks. Here is how he has been using his quarantine time to maintain his level of play:
” At 8 am I do a 2-3 mile run. Then at 10 am I hit the weights. Around 12 pm, every other day do the hills . I refuel and refresh and then at 5-6:30 ball handling.”

Flores is one of the premier deep threats in Houston who was recently selected to the Tapps All-State 1st Team. Aside from being a great shooter Flores also makes plays for his teammates and creates havoc, and turnovers, on defense, giving his team easy opportunities in transition. Here is how he has been using his quarantine time to maintain his level of play:
“Nothing special really, I just run everyday, and after running I focus on my body. Weights, pushups, and dribbling. The hardest thing to do right now is get shots up…. Parks went overboard and took the rims off of the goals.”

Mr. Intangible! Makes all the winning plays & his energy / effort is infectioushttps://t.co/HcrAvguiKo@RcsSports @ExposureOtr @TxTakeover_Ned @OG_CoachKemp @SA_GetRecruited @PrepHoopsTX— 𝔽𝕠𝕣𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕐𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕘 𝔽𝕚𝕝𝕞𝕤 SPORTS 🎥 (@4YFilms) March 18, 2020
JaQuan, otherwise known as JQ, is the type of player that you KNOW works hard because he plays so hard. He has the ability to score a bit but that takes a back seat to all of the things that he does on the court that we call “winning plays.” He can guard every position on the floor and rebounds well. Here is how he has been using his quarantine time to maintain his level of play:
“Every other day I run. I lift and do ab workouts everyday. I try to mix it up weekly and I shoot.”

Kolby was flying under the radar at the beginning of this past year, but has recently burst on the scene by getting ranked by OTR Exposure. He is a high flyer with the capability of transitioning into more of a small forward role. But his energy and his ability to rebound and block shots makes him a force as a power forward at the high school level. Here is how he has been using his quarantine time to maintain his level of play:
“Every morning around 10 o’clock I’ll eat some breakfast to get my day started. Afterwards, I do bench press, curls, push ups and diamond push ups in my den (2 sets of 30). Then I stand on top of a box not to far off the ground and I do calf raises. And the days its not raining or looking bad outside I go for a run to get my blood flowing and keep my stamina up.”
I would like to personally commend these prospects for staying committed to their craft and staying in shape. Mostly, I would like to thank them for doing so in a safe way. We must not forget that the health of everyone is at stake and measures need to be taken in order to keep ourselves, and others, safe from this disease. But that does not mean we should sit idly by and become complacent with only watching tv all day. We will get past this. Together.
