Ten juniors who boosted their stock over the course of the 2019-20 WIAA basketball season...

[player_tooltip player_id="804897" first="James" last="Graham"] - Nicolet

Wanted to see more of Graham this season, but was banking on Nicolet to be playing in the sectional finals and the state tournament. Graham averaged 20.6 points per game as a junior, helping lead the Knights to a 22-3 overall record and a North Shore Conference title. A 6-foot-7 small forward with a sweet stroke, Graham has the ability to just go off on opponents offensively. He also has the body and strength to defend the power forward position if needed, but his offensive skillset is more of a scoring wing.

[player_tooltip player_id="804898" first="Brandin" last="Podziemski"] - SJNMA

Really hoping we can see how Podziemski fares in the Nike EYBL, because he’s a guy that can fight for a top 5-6 spot. Currently ninth in the class of 2021 rankings, Podziemski built off his big summer and averaged 27.6 ppg as a junior, leading the Lancers to a 19-6 overall record and a Midwest Classic Conference title. Podziemski is a high volume scorer that can burn teams from beyond the arc on and off the ball and also has the athleticism to get to the rim and play above it. The reason he’ll continue to climb though is his motor. The 6-foot-4 guard is more than a scorer. He’s willing to rebound, chase down loose balls, and affect the game defensively. In fact, Podziemski averaged better than nine boards per game this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="879982" first="Logan" last="Landers"] - Cedarburg

Landers has an offensive skillset that suggests he could be a top five player in this class as well. A sweet-shooting big man that can not only stretch the floor, but handle the ball on the perimeter, and score efficiently in the post, Landers took off as a junior. Landers, who averaged 18.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game this season for Brookfield Academy, will play for Cedarburg as a senior. Up to No. 11 in the class of 2021 rankings, Landers plays with an edge and a bit of mean streak when he gets into a zone.

[player_tooltip player_id="879983" first="Antuan" last="Nesbitt"] - The Prairie School

Nesbitt is up to No. 18 in the class of 2021 rankings. A versatile wing who’s still not even close to filling out his body, Nesbitt does so many things out on the floor. He’s got point guard skills, slashing ability, and defensive versatility. Nesbitt averaged 19.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game as a junior, leading The Prairie School to a 15-10 overall record while competing in a very strong Metro Classic Conference.

No. 23 [player_tooltip player_id="701998" first="Donald" last="McHenry"] - Milwaukee Academy of Science

This kid was the leading scorer on a team that featured Bradley commit [player_tooltip player_id="694797" first="Darius" last="Hannah"] and UW-Milwaukee commit [player_tooltip player_id="774468" first="Kaleim" last="Taylor"], a group that very well could have won the Division 4 state championship as well. McHenry averaged 21.1 points and 4.2 assists per game for the Novas this season. An elusive lead guard with lightning-quick skills on the ball and break-you-down ability, McHenry is extremely tough to contain in space and isolation settings.

[player_tooltip player_id="879993" first="Hayden" last="Doyle"] - Brookfield East

Doyle played pretty well over the summer and had a knack for hitting big shots in clutch moments, but I didn't see this coming. Doyle always struck me more as a defensive-oriented, blue-collar prospect. But now, he's putting up big offensive numbers to go with it. Up to No. 38 in the class of 2021 rankings, Doyle 21.0 points per game as a junior, leading the Spartans to a 20-5 overall record. Doyle currently owns a pair of scholarship offers from Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan.

[player_tooltip player_id="804923" first="Sam" last="Hytinen"] - Arrowhead

When you’re not the No. 1 option on a team, you’re often advised to ’be a star in your role.’ Few players in the state do that better than Hytinen. Playing next to the ball dominant [player_tooltip player_id="544505" first="Carter" last="Gilmore"], Hytinen fed off it fantastically. The 6-foot-4 wing averaged 12.1 points per game for Arrowhead this season, shooting 54.2 percent from the field, including 55.2 percent from 3-point range, hitting 53 triples. A 3-and-D wing who can space the floor and attack gaps, Hytinen was solid and consistent all season long.

[player_tooltip player_id="935488" first="Brionne" last="Williams"] - Milwaukee Vincent

The younger brother of Oklahoma guard Alondes Williams, Brionne has made a name for himself. A guy we haven’t seen a ton of yet, but has impressed in a few outings, Williams averaged 17.4 points per game as a junior. There’s a lot of his older brother in Williams’ game. Like Alondes, Brionne is a downhill, attacking guard that uses his size, strength, and explosive athletic ability to challenge defenders and can just bully people on his way to the cup.

[player_tooltip player_id="935490" first="Jalen" last="Keago"] - Oshkosh North

Keago came into the Prep Hoops Top250 showcase as an unknown. After a terrific performance and a breakout junior season, he’s now a top 50 prospect. Keago averaged 15.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game as a junior. A smooth, athletic, 6-foot-4 wing with an excellent pull-up game, Keago is still just scratching the surface and someone who could take off once AAU resumes.

[player_tooltip player_id="880003" first="Victor" last="Desmond"] - Onalaska

Desmond played on one of the deepest teams in the state last season and came off the bench for the Hilltoppers. Still, he was able to show plenty of flashes offensively. The 6-foot-4 wing is a bouncy athlete with a knack for getting to the basket or scoring in transition. Sitting at No. 59 overall in the class of 2021 rankings, Desmond will likely keep rising as his skills catch up to his athleticism and he gets a chance to shine more during his senior season.
