This class has some good talent at the wing position with multiple players projecting to play at the Division 1 level and some strong non Division 1 level players as well. Below is a breakdown of each player and their ranking as it stands today.
Everything starts with 6’5 high major recruit, Shane Nowell Shane Nowell 6'6" | SG Eastside Catholic | 2021 State #85 Nation WA (feature image). The Eastside Catholic Crusader is strong, athletic and possesses next level ability scoring from the wing. His jump shot has gotten a lot better in the last year and that has helped take his game to another level. Degenhart (#2) is the most productive player right now, but Nowell has the highest ceiling. Tyson Degenhart Tyson Degenhart 6'7" | SF Mt. Spokane | 2021 State #144 Nation WA of Mt. Spokane High School is a load to handle inside. At 6’7, he plays a skilled and smart game around the paint and he also has the ability to step out and hit the 17 footer. He has already given a verbal to Boise State. Next up Chiawana High School’s Kobe Young Kobe Young 6'5" | SF Chiawana | 2021 State WA . The 6’5 slasher is a great rebounder, defender and shot blocker. He is also a knock down three point shooter in catch and shoot situations. He holds an offer from Idaho State, but he is also a very good wideout in football. At number four is Lakes High School star, Kenzel Massey Kenzel Massey 6'7" | SF Lakes | 2021 State WA . A 6’7 shooter that has added some handle to his game to create his own shot at a higher rate. Massey has a number of Division 1 schools tracking him. Next up is 6’5 Isaac Ticeson Isaac Ticeson 6'5" | SF Eastside Catholic | 2021 State WA from Eastside Catholic High School. Ticeson is a high energy, athletic slasher. He can do a little bit of everything on the floor and should be garnering more college attention as a result. O’Dea High School’s Jermaine Davis Jermaine Davis 6'3" | SF O'Dea | 2021 State WA is quite possibly the best athlete of the bunch, but he is also the shortest at 6’3. He is a great athlete, but development of his three point shot would take his game to another level. Nonetheless, he can help his team win games at the high school level. Bellevue High School wing, Hudson Hansen Hudson Hansen 6'8" | PF Bellevue | 2021 State WA , is a player with a high ceiling. At 6’7, he has some handle, a solid outside shot and he has gotten stronger in the last couple years. A prospect that more colleges should be aware of. At numbers eight and nine, we have 6’6 Joe Cookson Joe Cookson 6'6" | SF Seattle Academy | 2021 State WA of Seattle Academy and 6’6 Messiah Jones Messiah Jones 6'6" | SF Kamiakin | 2021 State WA of Kamiakin High School. Cookson is a slender built slasher with a great skill set and some swagger to his game. He has gotten better each year in high school and may end up passing some of the players ranked above him in due time. Jones is strong, athletic and can hit the 15 footer. He is also a standout football player, but he has a lot of potential on the hardwood as well. Finally, we have 6’5 Tucker Molina Tucker Molina 6'5" | SF Glacier Peak | 2021 State WA from Glacier Peak High School. Molina may be the most underrated player of the class. He can shoot it, he’s strong and he finishes above the rim. A prospect that some mid major Division 1’s may want to take a look at this upcoming high school season.
