The final class of 2020 rankings have been posted to the site and we have our final Prephoops.com top five for the state of Washington. Only one player remains available in the top five, while the other five are all signed, sealed and delivered. 6’4 SG [player_tooltip player_id="769617" first="Tanner" last="Toolson"] has told Prep Hoops that he would like to visit his potential schools, but that is obviously on hold with Covid-19. Toolson is planning a 2-year church mission, so there has been no real rush with his decision for the time being.

Without further ado, here are the final top five players of Washington’s 2020 class:

Each of the players listed above are Division 1 bound players with a real chance to be impact players down the line in college and possibly beyond. Down below is a breakdown of what each of these players is "most likely to do" in the next step of their playing careers.

Most likely to find themselves on NBA draft boards someday

[player_tooltip player_id="544251" first="Tari" last="Eason"] has the highest ceiling of the class with his length, athleticism, motor and vastly improved skill set in the last couple years. Cincinnati is very excited for Eason’s arrival and if he can continue to develop at the same rate, it would not be much of a surprise to me if we see him on the NBA draft boards at some point during his college career.

Most likely to find their niche at the next level

[player_tooltip player_id="609373" first="Tyler" last="Patterson"] has gotten a little bit better each and every year of his high school career and the total package and maturity was shown in Mt. Si’s 4A state championship run. His height and length as a perimeter player stands out immediately. Next, you see his smooth and effortless shooting stroke with a special ability to hit catch and shoot three pointers. Finally, you see how his length and positioning on the defensive end bothers offensive players from getting clean looks. At the next level, Patterson is the most likely player to find his niche at the collegiate level as a 3 and D player that impacts the team’s ability to win basketball games, even if he’s not throwing down highlight dunks every game.

Most likely to win MVP of the league

[player_tooltip player_id="609375" first="Liam" last="Lloyd"] is headed to Grand Canyon University full of confidence and swagger, excited to play in front of their outstanding home crowd. Lloyd has gotten stronger and more athletic as his high school career has gone along and that extra bounce allowed him to attack the rim and get to the foul line more often. He is an excellent three point shooter and grew up playing in the spotlight with his father being an assistant for Gonzaga University. I could see Lloyd shining in the WAC and winning MVP of the league someday.

Most likely to see their stock rise during college career

TIE! [player_tooltip player_id="609374" first="Jabe" last="Mullins"] and [player_tooltip player_id="769617" first="Tanner" last="Toolson"] are two players I could see having their stock rise for the next level over the course of their college career. Toolson is by far the most improved player of the 2020 class, from playing C-team and JV earlier in high school. Mullins is a player that is ranked in our top 200, but it would be no surprise to see him pass up other players ahead of him when you talk about production in college and less on "potential", which oftentimes determined national rankings.
