We’re here to answer the question of, “Who are the 10 best 2023 prospects in the Louisville area?”

What are the stipulations? None, really. Regardless of positions, what our top 10?

#1 [player_tooltip player_id="932764" first="Kaleb" last="Glenn"], Male - The most physically dominant player in the class, Glenn is bigger and stronger than most 18 year olds and uses that physicality to dominate at the varsity level. Predominantly a lob catcher and post scorer this year, Kaleb shot 74% from the field as a freshman while averaging a double-double.

#2 [player_tooltip player_id="932766" first="Gabe" last="Sisk"], Ballard - Third leading scorer for a balanced Ballard team this season, Sisk has shown a skill level and ability to get past defenders. His shooting percentages of 43/33/78 are a good starting point for his career and his numbers will improve as he becomes the Bruins’ go-to scorer next season and for years to come.

#3 [player_tooltip player_id="932772" first="Jack" last="Edelen"], Ballard - Right behind Sisk is his backcourt mate, Edelen. The 5’9 point guard possesses a high IQ and ability to run a team. He won’t ever wow anyone with length or athleticism but Jack has an uncanny knack for making very hard shots and is a gym rat. He’ll be the best player he can be over his Ballard career.

#4 [player_tooltip player_id="932773" first="Keith" last="Robinson"], DeSales - Possessing likely the best motor in the group, Robinson will outwork the players he can’t out-talent. A tough forward who plays without fear, Keith is going to need to keep improving his three point shooting over the remainder of his career as he doesn’t look like he’s going to grow much more and will need to transition to the wing eventually.

#5 [player_tooltip player_id="932774" first="Zamareon" last="McCown"], PRP - McCown didn’t have the bigger numbers like some on this list but did have a 30 point outburst early in the season against Trinity. Zee is a shifty scoring guard who has a chance to be the leading scorer for the Panthers next season. He’s a small guard but he can’t control if he grows any more. He can spend some time bulking up though. He could be PRP’s version of Isaiah Thomas the next 3 seasons.

#6 [player_tooltip player_id="932781" first="Cam" last="McClain"], Trinity - A player who is only going to continue improving, McClain is, from all indications, a gym rat with a great work ethic and Trinity is known for their player development. Cam’s shooting stats won’t jump off the page at you but he has great form on his shot and could end up being a 4 year starter for the Rocks after he moved into that role this season.

#7 [player_tooltip player_id="932782" first="Kenyon" last="Goodin"], Butler - One of the most talented kids in the class, Goodin missed out on playing varsity this season but has a bright 3 year career ahead. Missing out on his freshman varsity season and his 15u AAU season (thus far) is a killer for his momentum as a recruit but he’ll be fine in the long run.

#8 [player_tooltip player_id="932785" first="Jamal" last="Chambers"], Male - Male will be reloading for the most part next year and Jamal is hungry for a bigger role after waiting his turn behind a loaded 2020 group for the Bulldogs this season. Chambers is a really good athlete and has a chance to be the next [player_tooltip player_id="915104" first="Howard" last="Fleming"] type playmaker for Male.

#9 [player_tooltip player_id="932791" first="Isaiah" last="Cook"], Eastern - Cook got to play a small role on varsity this year and should get a bigger role moving forward. He’s a shifty distributor who can get in the paint. As he grows, he needs to focus on adding bulk.

#10 [player_tooltip player_id="932795" first="CJ" last="Walls"], Trinity - A potential starter next season, Walls was a JV star as a freshman and earned more and more varsity minutes as the season progressed. His positional versatility will help him stay on the floor more as a Sophomore and beyond.
