C/O 2022: Smaller Guards with big games!

You don’t have to have a ton of size to get the job done and these youngsters are a testament to that. From small guards that like to push the pace to guards that play their best in the halfcourt, we have all types of guards in this group. Mount Tabor Guard [player_tooltip player_id="944979" first="Gunner" last="Walters"]: We got our first introduction to Gunner prior to the season during the 250 Expo as he showed oustanding facilitating ability. That carried over into the season as he was a big part of the success of Mount Tabor. He has an IQ for the game that is beyond his years and we know he will only get better as time goes on. Glenn HS Guard [player_tooltip player_id="944999" first="Zion" last="Dixon"]: His stats wont scream at you but he has plenty of upside and will be one to keep a close eye on. One of the attributes that we like about his game is the energy he brings to the court when he’s locked in on both ends. Trinity Christian Guard [player_tooltip player_id="848063" first="Cam" last="Oates"]: One of the better scoring guards that we saw under 6 foot in the area, he can get to the basket without much of an issue as well as knocking down the deep ball. Being competitive is one of the attributes that sets him apart from many as he plays in one of the tougher conferences in the state. Hertford County Guard [player_tooltip player_id="577880" first="Keondre" last="Rodgers"]: He doesn’t have much height but one thing is for certain he can score the ball at a nice level. Using his combination of strength and speed, he not only gets by opponents but also is able to embrace contact when he attacks the basket. New Hanover Guard [player_tooltip player_id="948447" first="Maleec" last="Myers"]: His end to end speed is some of the best in the area which makes him a tough player to defend. He doesn’t back down from any challenge he’s faced with and is one of those guards that can impact the game in numerous ways.
