Prep Hoops Missouri presents its second installment of identifying unsigned players in the Class of 2020. This is the second wave of available 2020 point/combo guards.

[player_tooltip player_id="822905" first="Glenn" last="Valentine"] 6’0" Cardinal Ritter: A very good two-way guard who was a key component to Ritter’s drive to a Class 3 state championship. He is an excellent defensive player who can get down in a stance and cause problems for an opposing ball handler. He kept the ball moving and can make an open 3-pointer. He averaged eight points and three assists while shooting 42 percent from 3-point range.

[player_tooltip player_id="822944" first="Devin" last="Phillips"] 5’9" Confluence Prep Academy: A dynamic performer who is usually the smallest player on the floor, but he makes a big impact with his speed and ability to get buckets. The little lefty can get into the lane with his quickness and finish with driving layups while also being able to pull up for short jumpers and 3-pointers.

[player_tooltip player_id="822912" first="Cortez" last="Howlett"] 6’1" Raytown: A smooth, scoring point guard who has the ability to get buckets in a variety of ways. He can knock down shots from 3-point range, but he is at his best when he is creating offense off the dribble. He has the ability to wiggle his way into the lane and score, whether he is going left or right. His mid-range game is also very effective. He is very efficient in his moves.

Eric Berry 5’9" Delta: An excellent floor leader who was the catalyst of one of the top scoring teams in the state. He controlled a team that averaged 94 points a game. He pushed the pace and set up teammates while getting his teammates buckets. He’s tough and he doesn’t get knocked off his dribble. He averaged 18 points and six assists a game in leading Delta to a berth in the Class 1 state quarterfinals.

[player_tooltip player_id="610644" first="David" last="Roberts"] 6’2" Hazelwood Central: A combo guard who is a bulldog of a defensive player and a tenacious competitor. He’s physical and he loves the challenge of guarding the top players, regardless of their reputation. He handled the ball well and can slash to the basket with strength. He averaged 9.4 points while shooting 45 percent from the field.
