The class of 2022 has a lot of athletes on the come up, especially at the wing position. Here are some of the top sophomore forwards from this past season.

[player_tooltip player_id="918900" first="Anthony" last="Harris Jr"].- Smoky Hill

[player_tooltip player_id="918900" first="Anthony" last="Harris Jr"]. has been one the most exciting young prospects to watch this year. Anthony is a fun player to watch due to his off the wall athleticism. He uses his athleticism to finish above the rim whether that’s throwing down a tomahawk slams, catching alley oops, or dunking over someone, a true walking highlight! He also uses his athleticism and long arms to block shots at the rim. Anthony has a developing jump shot, his mass potential lies in his athleticism and if he gets more skilled he will most definitely be a great college prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id="759274" first="Tayt" last="Chacon"]- University

[player_tooltip player_id="759274" first="Tayt" last="Chacon"] was the second best scorer in the class of 2022 putting up an impressive 20.2 points a game. Tayt is a three sport athlete who uses his natural abilities to dominate. Standing at 6’5, he uses his body to move smaller defenders and finish over them. Tayt is also a good shooter from behind the three point line shooting at %42. He uses his height to box out and hustle for every rebound.

[player_tooltip player_id="965808" first="Mason" last="Black"]- Falcon

[player_tooltip player_id="965808" first="Mason" last="Black"] had a notable season that went relatively unnoticed. He lead all sophomores in 4A in scoring, averaging 19.4 points a game. Mason can score off the dribble or post up smaller defenders down low. Mason has a developing jumper from three point land but is very good closer to the rim. Mason is a true scorer, who can do a bit of everything on the court, another young guy to look out for.

[player_tooltip player_id="618858" first="Bryce" last="Andrews"]- Weld Central

[player_tooltip player_id="618858" first="Bryce" last="Andrews"] is another name from a smaller school that can play with anyone in his class. Bryce is a slasher who uses his athleticism to score at the rim. He also does a good job cleaning up the class, pulling down 7.3 rebounds a game, with almost half of those being offensive rebounds. Bryce also uses that athleticism to throw dunks on fast breaks. On the defensive end he is good with staying on defenders and blocking shots.

[player_tooltip player_id="918919" first="Joey" last="Bilello"]- Thunderridge

[player_tooltip player_id="918919" first="Joey" last="Bilello"] is a player with a very high ceiling, maybe the highest in his class. Standing at 6’7, Joey can play the wing or the big man position. He has very good form on his shot and can use that to stretch the floor. Also he has a good game off his triple threat, using his jab step to create separation between him and defenders. Joey bangs down low as well, boxing out to get boards and blocking shots. Another good part about his game is his unselfishness, he uses his height to look over defenders and find open teammates. Overall he is an all around balanced player with high potential.
