Today is Regional Final Friday for 3A and 4A teams in the state of Illinois. PHI takes a look at the 5 best games to check out on Friday night in each class!

3A

Morgan Park vs Tinley Park

Love this matchup! Morgan Park has three high-major upperclassmen perimeter players in [player_tooltip player_id="817665" first="Adam" last="Miller"], [player_tooltip player_id="569420" first="Marcus" last="Watson"], and [player_tooltip player_id="652081" first="Brandon" last="Weston"]. Tinley Park has quite possibly the best pure prospect in the state regardless of class in sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="771516" first="AJ" last="Casey"]. Miller, Watson, and Casey were all visited the Illini recently for the same game. Also this is a Meanstreets vs Fire battle!

Lincoln vs Danville

Interesting central Illinois matchup here. Lincoln is the higher seed with their skilled and efficient offense. Danville counters with the two best prospects [player_tooltip player_id="830601" first="Tevin" last="Smith"] and [player_tooltip player_id="920959" first="Nathanael" last="Hoskins"].

Kenwood vs Hinsdale South

I like this game with three quality unsigned seniors in Ronald McCoy, [player_tooltip player_id="916730" first="Darnell" last="King"], and [player_tooltip player_id="817676" first="Aaron" last="Tims"] all featured along with Lewis commit [player_tooltip player_id="817728" first="Billy" last="Durkin"].

DePaul Prep vs Farragut

Because of regional hosting issues Farragut got matched up with DePaul Prep. No doubt DePaul Prep has higher end talent with [player_tooltip player_id="916720" first="Lance" last="Mosley"], Ty Johnson, and [player_tooltip player_id="920949" first="Brian" last="Mathews"]. Farragut like always is a tough CPS program that plays with physicality and can pull off an upset in March.

Oak Forest vs Walter Payton Prep

Two very intriguing unsigned seniors in this one as [player_tooltip player_id="916692" first="Jabari" last="Chiphe"] and [player_tooltip player_id="817681" first="Jayson" last="Kent"] will be quite a wing battle!

4A

Collinsville vs Belleville West

Belleville West hasn’t lost a playoff game in over two years, but this year Collinsville is the big boy in the metro east.

Simeon vs Lane Tech

Two CPS schools meet up in a game at Lane Tech. The Wolverines are really hot right now, but Lane just picked up a nice win over OPRF.

St. Charles East vs St. Charles North

These two programs are rivals and the winner could make a deep run in this tournament! Neutral site so it should be a rowdy crowd for both teams.

Niles North vs Schaumburg

A pair of top 5 prospects match up in this one. #3 senior [player_tooltip player_id="647090" first="Aquan" last="Smart"] who recently committed to Maryland leads Niles North against Schaumburg and #4 junior [player_tooltip player_id="529038" first="Chris" last="Hodges"] who is an early verbal to Wisconsin.

Thornton vs Lincoln Way East

As we have seen already in the playoffs higher ranked teams have to take games like this very serious on the road against a lower seed. Thornton is obviously the favorite, but a combination of home court and sneaky talent for LWE make this one interesting.
