Sleeper 2020 Illinois Shooting Guards

<p>Are you ready for some sleepers at the shooting guard position?  Here are a few of our favorite under the radar two guards uncommitted!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916722" first="Jemel" last="Jones"] (Eisenhower)</strong></p> <p>Jones put his name on our radar with a strong outing in the Westmont Holiday Tournament championship game where he displayed a lethal pull up jump shot from all over the floor.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916744" first="Sincere" last="Key"] (Solorio)</strong></p> <p>Key is a slick scoring guard that can really put the ball in the hoop!  The senior showed he could put up points in bunches with his lengthy frame when we saw him as a senior.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="817741" first="Sami" last="Osmani"] (Oak Lawn)</strong></p> <p>What we like about his game is how he does a little bit of everything.  Can defend multiple positions.  Strong driver that goes at the rim with reckless abandon.  Solid shooter.  Tough kid that will be a great small college program player!</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916749" first="Josiah" last="Hammons"] (Curie)</strong></p> <p>Hammons put his name on the map as a senior.  The lefty sniper is a sound spot up shooter that stretched the floor for Curie especially from the corners.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916750" first="Greg" last="Wells"] (Belleville West)</strong></p> <p>Wells transferred to the Maroons from Althoff for his senior year.  He is a lefty scoring guard with a silky smooth offensive repertoire.  Scores from multiple levels and had a strong senior campaign.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916799" first="Micah" last="Schnyders"] (Yorkville Christian)</strong></p> <p>One of the better pure shooting two guards remaining on the board.  Will be effective in college moving without the ball and getting open for threes.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916751" first="Johnny" last="Close"] (Rockford Boylan)</strong></p> <p>Close is another sharp shooter with decent size.  He is at his best spotting up and moving to get open.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916760" first="Atharva" last="Athreya"] (Sandburg)</strong></p> <p>Super long and angular wing that has his best basketball ahead of him.  Can score from multiple levels with a feathery jumper.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916761" first="Brandon" last="Malone"] (Glenbard South)</strong></p> <p>Malone emerged last summer with Hoops4Health as he put points up in a hurry on a game in and game out basis.  Plays with some bounce and had a sweet pull up game.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916762" first="Nick" last="Smoldt"] (Plainfield East)</strong></p> <p>Long and lanky wing that should be an excellent role play at the next level.  Defends, boards, and slashes.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="952174" first="Jackson" last="Creel"] (Mt. Vernon)</strong></p> <p>Creel improved throughout his four year career for the Rams.  Really good shooter that mixed in an all-around game as his career progressed.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916771" first="Luke" last="Ervie"] (Freeburg)</strong></p> <p>Tough as nails southern Illinois guard that was well coached and can score with the ball in his hands from inside the arc also stretching it out at times.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916819" first="Marcus" last="Becton"] (St. Joseph)</strong></p> <p>Athletic two guard who flashes go to ability.  Needs to improve as a free throw shooter, but definitely has developmental upside.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916806" first="Dawson" last="Yates"] (Pinckneyville)</strong></p> <p>One of the top scorers in small school basketball in southern Illinois.  Tough wing that is crafty making plays.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916789" first="Drew" last="Wollenschlager"] (Normal U-High)</strong></p> <p>Wollenschlager is a plus three point shooter that is a sniper when he gets a clean look.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="916763" first="Austin" last="Garbe"] (Carterville)</strong></p> <p>Super sleeper from southern Illinois who showed well in camps and with the Illinois Bears.  Sound shooter that has some upside.</p>
