The 6’1” powerfully built guard drilled three after three. In total he made five of them. Plus shooter that can create his own shot. Also scored at the rim multiple times using his strength. Such a tough and competitive kid that brings it every game! As a redshirt sophomore Garrett averaged 15.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game. Shot 43.5% from the field and 37.7% from three.
He spoke with PHI about his season.
“We had a tough schedule and played a lot of ranked teams. It has been a learning experience.”
We have been following Garrett since early in his high school career. He talked about how his game is different now.
“I feel like have gotten better since high school. I can play the point. I can rebound and pass. I am an all-around player. Mostly I can score and defend. Whatever a school needs.”
What is going on with recruiting?
“Jacksonville State, Buffalo, Louisiana Monroe and a lot more schools.”
He holds offers from Jacksonville State and Louisiana Monroe. What will he be looking for in a program?
“Somewhere I can play and they will let me be myself. I will go hard.”
