Fields is an impressive prospect with a nice skill set. He has solid handles and can go either way with the ball. Fields can create for himself and others off the dribble. He can attack the rim off the bounce and is very comfortable using a screen. Fields has nice jumper as well and he can hit it off the catch. He’s at his best when the offense runs through him and he can initiate the offense by both scoring and distributing.
Fields is focused on improvement. He’s currently working on his off the dribble shooting, especially from the 2nd level. Fields wants improve as a mid range shooter. He feels with that part of his game polished and combined with his handles, 3 point shooting, and craftiness, he’ll be incredibly tough to guard.
Riley Fields loves the big moments and big games. He considers winning districts as a contributing freshman as his top moment so far. “That was a great feeling to be on a team where everyone was playing together and contributing toward this district championship,” said Fields. He is currently looking forward to playing in huge games this spring and summer with MBA.
Fields is in the beginning stages of his recruitment. He has a lot to offer to a program at the next level. He’d bring a high basketball IQ to any team. Fields has a skill set and understanding of the game that should transfer to the next level.
Fields has goals that he wants to accomplish. This season, he’s focused on proving himself as a player, improving his game, and developing his leadership skills so that he can help his teammates get better as well. Fields wants to play college basketball and contribute wherever he ends up.
“I’d have to say Curry is one of my biggest inspirations because he changed the game. Back then you’d have to be a big guard and Curry showed everyone they were wrong and did so with some swag and a lot of skill set. I have that same chip where everyone overlooks or doubts me and I just want to prove them wrong!” – Riley Fields
