<p class="p1"><span class="s1">With the abrupt halt to the 2019-20 season, it’s time to take a look at some of the state’s best players from Division III. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">[player_tooltip player_id="800834" first="CJ" last="Anthony"], Harvest Prep</span></strong></p>
<p>Helping lead his team to a third consecutive district championship, Harvest Prep’s [player_tooltip player_id="800834" first="CJ" last="Anthony"] was crowned Division III Player of the Year earlier this week for the second consecutive year. The 6-foot senior averaged 28.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5 assists per game this season. The Warriors finished the season 18-3, making another trip to the regional final before the season was suspended. The all-time leading scorer in central Ohio, Anthony is one of the top unsigned seniors in Ohio. </p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">[player_tooltip player_id="588900" first="Luke" last="Howes"], Fairview</span></strong></p>
<p>Leading his team to an 18-win season, [player_tooltip player_id="588900" first="Luke" last="Howes"] averaged 24.1 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game this season for Fairview. Not only that, he ended the season sinking 36 3-pointers while averaging just under three steals per game. The 6-foot-1 senior guard also won Great Lakes Conference Player of the Year and will continue his playing career at Walsh next season. </p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">[player_tooltip player_id="917420" first="Grant" last="Whisman"], Madison</span></strong></p>
<p>One player that was able to turn heads this season was senior forward [player_tooltip player_id="917420" first="Grant" last="Whisman"]. He broke the school’s all-time scoring record earlier in the year and finished his high school playing career averaging 25.7 points per game. He’s a high-quality player who will play basketball for Cedarville University next season. </p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">[player_tooltip player_id="711935" first="Luke" last="Powell"], Barnesville</span></strong></p>
<p>One of Ohio’s leading scorers this season, [player_tooltip player_id="711935" first="Luke" last="Powell"] averaged 33 points per game for the Shamrocks this season. The 6-foot-3 senior guard became Barnesville’s all-time leading scorer earlier in the year and capped off his career scoring 2,374 career points. That ranks sixth all-time in OVAC boys history and 17th in Ohio history. He’s committed to West Liberty University. </p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">[player_tooltip player_id="800837" first="Joey" last="Holifield"], Cardinal Stritch</span></strong></p>
<p>During his senior season, Holifield averaged 23.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game, leading his team to a 16-6 regular-season record. The 6-foot-3 guard was also named Northwest Ohio D-III district player of the year and concluded his career with a school-record 1,716 points. He’ll continue his playing career at Oakland University next season. </p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">[player_tooltip player_id="917431" first="Cooper" last="Parrott"], Willard</span></strong></p>
<p>Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="917431" first="Cooper" last="Parrott"] helped lead his team to a 21-3 record this season behind a 21-point per game scoring average. That’s now back-to-back seasons Parrott has been apart of leading his team to at least 20 wins, earning himself Division III Northwest District co-Player of the Year as well. The 6-foot-3 guard is unsigned at the moment.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">[player_tooltip player_id="714507" first="Skyler" last="Schmidt"], Clermont Northeastern</span></strong></p>
<p>Earlier this month, [player_tooltip player_id="714507" first="Skyler" last="Schmidt"] earned his first Division I offer from the University of New Orleans. The rising junior had a monster season, averaging one of the area’s best 24.6 points per game for Clermont Northeastern this season. The 6-foot-7 forward has good size and speed and expect the Division I offers to start coming along throughout his senior season. </p>
<p class="p1"><strong><span class="s1">Sean Ealy, Clark Montessori</span></strong></p>
<p>A top-5 leading scorer in the Cincinnati area, Sean Ealy led his team with 25 points and 2.3 steals per game this season. The 5-foot-10 senior guard is the school’s all-time leading scorer and has yet to make a choice on where to start his collegiate career at. Ealy uses his size well and developed a consistent outside jump shot for Clark Montessori this season. </p>
