<p>The 2019-2020 season is officially over, it was a season full of excitement thanks to very competitive leagues all across the state. Many talented players will be back next season, but we’re also losing some big time seniors that will go on to have good careers at the next level. Let’s take a look at the top stat leaders in the state for all major categories for this season. </p>
<p><strong>Points: [player_tooltip player_id="605549" first="Javonte" last="Johnson"] (2020) | Cheyenne Mountain: 30.0 points per game </strong></p>
<p>The New Mexico commit had a monster senior season, shooting 63% from two-point range on the year (206/328) as well as 82% from the charity strip (144/176). He is a player that can score from all three-levels and at times makes it look effortless, getting to his spots on the floor and making the defense pay. He also impacts the game in a verity of different ways, he’s a very strong rebounder who averaged 10.2 RPG this season. Which according to MaxPreps there has not been another player in the state to average a 30 point double double on the year. Johnson has all the tools in his game to be a very good player at the next level and should come in and have an impact right away at New Mexico.</p>
<p>2. Josh Duran (2021) | Antonito: 26.5 PPG</p>
<p>3. [player_tooltip player_id="916985" first="Logan" last="Owen"] (2021) | Belleview Christian: 25.5 PPG</p>
<p><strong>Rebounds: Assane Diop (2023) | Belleview Christian: 18.9 rebounds per game </strong></p>
<p>Diop only played in twelve of their twenty games this season, but as a freshman he made a big impact for them when he was out there. He averaged: 16.6 PPG, 7.7 APG, 2.8 SPG, 5.0 BPG to go along with his almost nineteen boards a game. He shot 57% from inside the arc this year (86/152) and 60% from the foul line (27/45). He had four games this season with over twenty rebounds in the game. </p>
<p>2. Cedar Ross (2020) | Moffat: 17.4 RPG</p>
<p>3. Blake Essex (2021) | Mile High Academy: 14.1 RPG</p>
<p><strong>Assists: [player_tooltip player_id="915298" first="Landon" last="Wallace"] (2020) | Conifer: 10.9 assists per game </strong></p>
<p>This is the second year in a row that Wallace has led the state in assists as well as finishing third in the country in that category. He is one of the most unselfish point guards Colorado has seen in some time. He plays with a great motor on both ends of the floor and has a great sense for the game. He averaged 9.2 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 4.1 SPG to go along with his 10.9 APG this season. </p>
<p>2. [player_tooltip player_id="918901" first="Sam" last="Howery"] (2022) | St. Mary’s: 8.5 APG</p>
<p>3. Junior Arambula (2021) | Wray: 7.7 APG </p>
<p><strong>Steals: Kyle Saunders (2021) | Longmont Christian: 6.3 steals per game </strong></p>
<p>Saunders led the state this year in steals per game at 6.3 which ranks him eighth in the country after just averaging 1.8 during his sophomore season. He is a smart guard that plays under control and has a good feel for the game. He averaged 5.9 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 2.3 APG to go with his 6.3 steals. </p>
<p>2. Hunter Hughes (2020) | Delta: 5.7 SPG</p>
<p>3. Josh Duran (2021) | Antonito: 5.5 SPG</p>
<p><strong>Blocks: Austin Bierhaus (2021) | Loveland: 7.7 blocks per game</strong></p>
<p>At 7.7 blocks per game, Bierhaus ranks fifth in the nation in that category. He had two triple-doubles this year that included, points rebounds and blocks, he also had another seven double-doubles on the year. He had six games this season with ten or more blocked shots. In their last game of the year against Brighton he finished with 15 points, 16 rebounds and 11 blocked shots. </p>
