Prince Aligbe Prince Aligbe 6'6" | SF Minnehaha Academy | 2022 State #167 Nation MN (6’6 SF) of Minnehaha Academy. Aligbe has made his case this year for both the top prospect in Minnesota’s sophomore class and a top 30-40 level player nationally. Athletically he is there but the jumper looks good (the few he takes) and defensively Prince is outstanding.
Muja Burton Muja Burton 6'4" | SF Columbia Heights | 2022 State MN (6’4 SF) of Columbia Heights. Murton is a long with a three point touch that impressed in our two viewings this year plus Burton is giving the Hylanders 17.4 points and 4.8 boards a game.
Chase Carter Chase Carter 6'7" | PF Minnehaha Academy | 2022 MN (6’6 PF) of Minnehaha Academy. Carter is playing junior varsity for the Redhawks as well as time in the second half of varsity games. With the Redhawks going deeper than any team in the state Carter has dominated JV games and then supported at the varsity level.
Alonzo Dodd (6’2 PG) of South St. Paul. We listed Dodd as a point guard because he does that, he plays wing, does things in the paint, and battles on both ends as well. The Packers are 17-9 on the year and Dodd is scoring 25 points a game while often grabbing double figure boards.
Emmett Johnson Emmett Johnson 5'11" | PG Holy Angels | 2022 State MN (5’11 PG) of Holy Angles. Also a surprising 17-9 this year is AHA (about 3-4 games better than we expected) with Johnson creating on one end and pressuring the ball on the other. Emmett has given his team 14.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, four assists, and two steals a contest.
Ahjany LeeAhjany Lee (6’8 PF) of Byron. One of the most explosive bigs in the state of Minnesota is Ahjany Lee. Lee is raw but he is long, runs well, is quick off his feet and he can make plays quickly at the rim that most of his opponents simply can’t react to. About an 8-9 point per game average on a balanced team with 8-9 boards a game.
Ayden McDonald Ayden McDonald 6'4" | PG Omaha Central | 2022 State MN (6’3 PG) of Hibbing. Few players in Minnesota have as big of a hand in each score for their team as Ayden McDonald Ayden McDonald 6'4" | PG Omaha Central | 2022 State MN . Ayden’s vision ranks with the best I’ve seen in covering high school basketball since 2004-05. He has Hibbing at 19-7 entering tomorrow’s playoff game and Ayden is averaging 21.6 points, 10.4 assists, and 5.6 boards a game.
BJ Omot BJ Omot 6'8" | PF Mankato East | 2022 State #231 Nation MN (6’6 SF) of Mankato East. The Cougars are a single loss team with four talented players averaging in double figures: 3 seniors and BJ. Omot is a skilled and explosive 6-foot-6 wing that has the look of a prospect that could have a massive 16u season. Watch him very close if East makes the state tournament this year and then pay attention to whomever he is with at the 16u level.
Donovan Smith (5’8 G) of Minnehaha Academy. Smith is the Redhawks sharp shooter off the bench and he plays that role as anybody could. Smith is an instant impact shooter whenever he touches the basketball giving Minnehaha Academy eight points a game.
Demarion Watson-Saulsberry (6’6 SF) of Minnehaha Academy. When it comes to potential Demarion has the type that could rank him with some of the best in the state. His length, speed up the floor and explosive finishing ability have been seen in Minnehaha JV games as well as in second halves of Redhawks blowouts.
