BeElite Senior Showcase Standouts: Team Kam

<p>With the high school season over and AAU a few weekends away from being a full go senior's from around the state get to put a cap on their final high school basketball experience with Allstar games and showcases. As was the case this past weekend in Huntsville for the 1st annual BeElite Senior Showcase. </p> <p>This inaugural event featured some of the best talents in the state for the class of 2020. Each team bore the name of two of the nation's most prolific scorers who happen to be from the "Heart of Dixie". Team Kam vs. Team Tommy put on a show for the packed crowd that was in attendance.</p> <p>Here is a list of standout players for Team Kam:</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/kameron-woods/">[player_tooltip player_id="809775" first="Kameron" last="Woods"]</a>, 6'0 PG, Pinson Valley: Kam did what Kam does and that is score the basketball. With several highlight moves and long Steph Curry range 3 balls, he showed the skills that allowed him to amass over 3,000 points in his high school career. With a huge decision on where he will continue his playing career on the next level, it showed throughout the game why he is going to make some coach wherever he decides to go very happy.</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jamari-smith-2/">[player_tooltip player_id="727882" first="Jamari" last="Smith"]</a>, 6'3 SF, Lee (Montgomery): Fresh off a 7A state championship with what was coined the "Air Show" the one they call "Chop" showed why he was the head of the General's high flying attack. After showing his advanced dunk package in the Dunk Contest he had an encore performance in the actual game pulling off some of the most impressive dunks that would leave some NBA players in awe. Chop will be taking his talents to UAB next season where he will hopefully shine on the gridiron for the Blazers.</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/austin-harvell/">[player_tooltip player_id="885248" first="Austin" last="Harvell"]</a>, 6'6 SF, East Limestone: The physical specimen must've had some kind of issues with the rim during the game because he constantly seemed to take out all his frustrations on it. His ability to play multiple positions on both ends of the floor makes him a very intriguing prospect. And though it wasn't the most competitive game on the defensive end of the floor he showed flashes of what can make him a very good basketball player on the next level. He is still undecided on where he will play next season.</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jadan-coleman/">[player_tooltip player_id="761439" first="Jadan" last="Coleman"]</a>, 6'4 SG, Bob Jones: The Tulane signee can shoot the basketball! His skill set is evident and was on full display on Saturday evening. His quick release with range makes him a nightmare to guard because of his ability to shoot it with very minimal space or time. He drained three after three after three in helping Team Kam come out with the victory. Look for him to give coach Ron Hunter and the Green Wave some immediate help from the outside.</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/antwan-burnett/">[player_tooltip player_id="798800" first="Antwan" last="Burnett"]</a>, 6'5 SG, Sidney Lanier: He looks the part of a high major Division 1 player. You could tell as he played on Saturday that he has the physical tools to help a program, especially on the defensive end right away. His strength and relentless pursuit of the painted area makes him extremely frustrating to guard. He played bully ball with smaller defenders and blew by bigger ones when they tried to match up with him. He is also currently undecided on where he will continue his academic and athletic career, but whoever lands "AB" will inherit a player who is ready to play immediately.</p>
