Jr had himself quite the year. A 6’4 Combo Guard, Banks found himself having to play essentially every position this season. Despite this, Banks put up solid numbers across the board, and at the guard slot he even pulled down 17 rebounds in one game.
Andre Bottoms Andre Bottoms 6'0" | PG Oscar Smith | 2020 State VA – G/Oscar Smith. One of the best unsigned point guards in the area, Bottoms is the absolute team player. A classic playmaker, Bottoms excelled at setting up his teammates for easy buckets. Bottoms earned this award via his consistent play as one of the premier point guards in the 757.
Gilbert Brown Gilbert Brown 6'0" | PG Menchville | 2020 State VA – G/Menchville. Gilbert Brown Gilbert Brown 6'0" | PG Menchville | 2020 State VA is one of the most ferocious, if not the most ferocious on ball defender in the 757. With his intensity, Brown brought it every night on the court to help lead his school to a fantastic record. Brown was also a solid scorer and distributor despite sharing the court with elite guards.
Khaliyl Davis Khaliyl Davis 6'6" | PF Woodrow Wilson | 2020 State VA – F/Wilson. Davis was by far one of the most intimidating players in the 757. A physical specimen, Wilson can jump out of the gym, often leaving opponents on the bad side of poster slams. With his height and bounce, Davis was able to easily average a double double and was a defensive anchor for his squad.
Karl Chavis Karl Chavis 6'5" | PF Oscar Smith | 2020 State VA – F/Oscar Smith. Karl Chavis Karl Chavis 6'5" | PF Oscar Smith | 2020 State VA only missed first team due to sitting out a few games with an injury. Once he returned, Chavis made an immediate impact. Both tall and long, Chavis used his physical gifts to be disruptive on defense as well as dunking on anyone on offense. With his size and explosiveness, Chavis was one of the most electrifying forwards this season.
Terry White Terry White 6'1" | PG Grafton | 2020 State VA – G/Grafton. Terry White Terry White 6'1" | PG Grafton | 2020 State VA faced many layers of adversity this season. His gym burned down. His team suffered injuries. Despite this, White kept his team competitive in essentially every matchup. The point guard also led his team in every category, a feat not many players can replicate.
Jordan Lewis Jordan Lewis 5'10" | PG Cox | 2020 State VA – G/Cox. Jordan Lewis Jordan Lewis 5'10" | PG Cox | 2020 State VA was one of the most consistent point guards in the 757 this season. Well built and disciplined, Lewis used his composure and fundamental style to lead his team to the playoffs. Lewis is one of the better shooters in the 757, and is a very responsible ball handler.
AJ Walters- G/Great Bridge. Walters found himself having to do it all from the point guard spot this season. Luckily, he was very capable. A lefty, Walters was a threat to score every night. Walters is also a high academic student, with nearly a 4.0 GPA to match his 20ppg.
Shamarr Yates Shamarr Yates 6'2" | SG First Colonial | 2020 State VA – G/First Colonial. Shamarr Yates Shamarr Yates 6'2" | SG First Colonial | 2020 State VA has been one of the best scorers in the 757 the last couple of seasons. Yates leaves it all on the floor, hustling and grinding his way to his impressive stat line. Yates utilizes his athleticism with his deadly mid range game, as well as establishing himself as a two way player.
Quishaun Brivard- G/Woodside. Brivard was a star for his team this season. A two way lanky guard, Brivard averaged just under 19 and nearly four steals a game. Athletic and mature, Brivard can play both guard spots and loves to get after it defensively.
