Stars Certain to Decide Region 6AAA Tournament

<p>The bigger the stage, the brighter the spotlight. Here are some players who have a chance to make breakout postseason runs, ranging from established household names to the quietly productive.  You might notice the prevalence of seniors on this list.  It is not an accident.  Seniors play with incredible urgency and emotional devotion this time of year.</p> <h2>Region 6AAA</h2> <p style="text-align: center">TEAMS ALIVE</p> <p>#1 Dickson County<br /> #4 Hunters Lane</p> <p>#2 Cane Ridge<br /> #3 Summit</p> <p>#1 McGavock<br /> #4 Brentwood</p> <p>#2 Franklin<br /> #3 Hillsboro</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>2021 PG J.P. Pegues – Hillsboro</strong></p> <p>Crafty.  Quick.  Good height for the position. Pegues started his freshman season and grew into this prominent role he now owns.  <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/ryan-wilcox/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/ryan-wilcox/">Ryan Wilcox</a></a> (Hillsboro '20) is another daunting star for Franklin to consider in their prep.  Pegues will be a handful for the Franklin zone, as he penetrates better than most.</p> <p><strong>2021 PG <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/reed-kemp/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/reed-kemp/">Reed Kemp</a></a> – Franklin</strong></p> <p>Earned District MVP.  Special vision.  Capable of scoring 30 even in a critical game.  Kemp's shooting touch is better than average, but his responsibility to the team includes much more than scoring.  Franklin features a powerful frontline.  Their draw is very, very challenging with Hillsboro and either McGavock or rival Brentwood waiting IF the Rebels win.  Kemp's leadership and brilliance will be requested constantly throughout this regional tournament.</p> <p><strong>2020 W Malique White – Hunters Lane</strong></p> <p>High-flying wing for Hunters Lane.  White is a smooth shooter with uncommon strength.  His opponent is daunting.  Dickson County is an impressive 23-7 with only a single loss outside their district (M.B.A.).  They are very difficult to beat in your first time playing them.  Malique will need to be great.</p> <p><strong>2020 PG <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/marvin-hughes/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/marvin-hughes/">Marvin Hughes</a></a> – McGavock</strong></p> <p> Brilliant mind.  Physically imposing.  Winner.  Unafraid of the moment.  Handles are great.  Ability to finish in the lane is elite.  Hughes is well known throughout the state.  Still considering college options, but he is a D1 player to me.  VMI dropped in to evaluate him earlier this winter.  He has the test/grades to be an High-Academic recruit on top of his 2,000+ career points.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>https://twitter.com/BallerMom0209/status/1226558436558692353?s=20</p> <p><strong>2022 Destin Wade – North </strong><b>Summit</b></p> <p>A dual-sport star.  Wade and his brother are both likely to graduate with D1 football and D1 basketball offers.  Wade was stronger than most local bigs <em>last year</em>.  The growth of his game continues unabated.  Wade is an inside-outside threat.  Both strong and silky with a football player's mental and physical toughness.  </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>https://twitter.com/Mary06881810/status/1229094038126678016?s=20</p> <p><strong>2021 G <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/john-windley/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/john-windley/">John Windley</a></a> – Brentwood</strong></p> <p>Creative.
