“I’m looking to start off around the junior college, D3 route and then work my way up to D1,” White told Prep Hoops about his recruitment. “I will be visiting North Central this weekend and after the season St. Cloud Technical College.”
This past weekend White had a nice visit at North Central. “I hadn’t visited schools but I’m just now starting to.”
White is an all around hooper studying the game as much as he can in any way he can. He’s watched local talents, professionals, and everybody in between to work and improve.
“This the crazy part about this question like, I used to watch high school hoops mix-tapes and I use too just watch like Josh Christopher, my boy (Jalen) Suggs and pro a little I watch Ja Morant too,” White said.
“In my head I’m like looking at how much energy they bring out, that’s something I need to do. To put my name out so in the summer time I just made myself a player that can do everything and add energy to it.”
White has put a lot of effort into producing for St. Paul Washington as he’s scoring 23.8 points a game.
“My goal is to prepare myself for the next level at college early and strengthening up the stuff I do best on the court.
“My goal with the team is us all being on the same page on and off the court and I can accomplish ending us off on a good note.”
Washington is currently 10-11 on the season with a 6-6 record in league play. That’s a four game improvement heading into the playoffs. White is very proud of the work he has put in to get better.
“I worked on my game all summer and it’s starting to pay off,” Drew said. “My team worked and got really close together, now we just wrapping things up to go to state. I been wanting to do it sense I was a freshman.”
