Recruiting Report: Jack Farrelly (2020)
Jack Farrelly, a class of 2020 forward from Western Branch, is a key contributor for a talented Bruins squad. The 6-foot-5 senior is filling an important leadership role for a young team. Farrelly described that role, his overall game and much more during a recent interview with Prep Hoops.
PH: Describe your game for those who haven’t seen you play
JF: “I play the 5 at Western Branch. My job is to rebound, play defense, and if I’m open hit the shot. Overall, we got a really good team here, we’re young. But I know I need to be a leader and be vocal.”
PH: What’s the most underrated part of your game?
JF: “Not a lotta people see me hustle. I like to work. I like to work hard, and I give everything I got on the court.”
PH: What do you need to work on?
JF: “Dribbling and taking the shot more when I’m open. Be more aggressive.”
PH: Who is recruiting you the hardest?
JF: “Marymount and Hampden-Sydney.”
PH: What are you looking for in a school?
JF: “Academics. I’m trying to go into PT, Physical Therapy. I want to major in Biology, Exercise Science. A lot of schools have those so I’m just trying to get the right fit academically. Basketball is just a way for me to get some financial aid and make it easier for my parents to pay.”
