5’11 PG IV’rson Lavizzo (Kearns High School)
IV’rson makes the move from Keller, Texas and is starting to get comfortable at Kearns. His speed and change of direction is impressive as he is only a sophomore. In due time he will turn in to a 12 point 5 to 8 assist player that will play at any tempo. He is playing with a young team this year but they will grow into an uptempo team.
6’0 SG Kaden Cox (Ridgeline High School)
After Ridgeline won state a few years ago it look like the rebuild process was in full effect. This young shooting guard has them back in the mix earlier than expected. Kaden has poise, speed and IQ. He is knockdown shooter but plays under control and un-selfish. Kaden ended The Eagle Shootout by scoring 22 points off of 5 three-pointers. Kaden has a great motor who can also haul in 6 rebounds. He’s a player we look forward to seeing develop.
6’0 PG Talon Valdes (Juan Diego Catholic)
Talon had a quiet 24 points as he finds ways to race through the pack and get easy layups. Talon has worked on his 3-point shooting this off season. With that added wrinkle to his game he should start getting some looks at the next level. Consistency is the key for this speedy guard.
5’10 PG Zack Englebright (Summit Academy High School)
Zack is a speedy guard that runs his teams offense and moves well without the ball. Teams have keyed on him and he is still able to get up 18-24 points a game. If he starts working on the deep three-point shot he will open up lanes for himself and assist opportunities as well. Zack likes the up and down pace.
6’2 G Trace Ross (Corner Canyon High School)
Trace has been as consistent as he can be to help his team win games. He is doing it from all over the court. He is hitting from the outside and mid-range. Trace has also turned into a slashing type guard that will most definitely increase his value. With his size he is too much to handle for smaller guards.
