Illinois 2021 Post Stock Risers
Which power forwards and centers in the 2021 class have boosted their stock the most in the latest PHI Rankings? We take a look at them here!
KJ Debrick KJ Debrick 6'7" | C Springfield Lanphier | 2021 State IL (Springfield Lanphier)
Current Ranking: #44
Previous Ranking: #95
Debrick is a 6’8” center that was extremely raw last year, but the 2021 post has greatly improved. He is a wall inside blocking everything that comes near him. Offensively he makes power moves and even hit a three on occasion. High level rebounder that was a major stock booster with his play during the first half of the season.
Devon Vanderheydt Devon Vanderheydt 6'7" | PF Washington | 2021 State IL (Washington)
Current Ranking: #51
Previous Ranking: #80
The 6’6” forward has a ton of momentum after a breakout summer with Peoria Area Elite. The junior is a strong kid that can really stretch the floor. Excellent three point shooter especially off the catch. Spots up and flairs in pick/pop situations. Quick and concise release. Decent athlete that can play either forward spot, but his biggest value is probably as a stretch four.
Phillip Holmes Phillip Holmes 6'7" | C Simeon | 2021 State IL (Simeon)
Current Ranking: #58
Previous Ranking: #106
Holmes is a 6’7” post that has intriguing physical tools with his broad shoulders, length, and mobility. Efficient with his touches around the hoop, runs the floor, and is a solid rebounder. Emerging as a post for the Wolverines that has shown flashes this year.
Nathan Hall Nathan Hall 6'7" | PF Collinsville | 2021 State IL (Collinsville)
Current Ranking: #59
Previous Ranking: NR
The 6’7” power forward is extremely active around the hoop. Has the ability to face up knocking down a mid-range jumper and stretch it out to three. Runs the floor. Good rebounder in traffic and I like what he does defensively blocking shots and overall using his length to be a tough post defender.
Donald Coats Donald Coats 6'7" | SF Thornton | 2021 IN (Thornton)
Current Ranking: #62
Previous Ranking: NR
Coats is very intriguing bursting on our radar with his play against Kankakee in a primetime game. The 6’7” forward has excellent length and good size. The projectable 2021 snatched rebounds, hit a pair of runners, and scored inside on a jump stop. Upside prospect!
