It was a busy week of basketball action over the holiday season! Let’s now examine the superlatives from the events that we attended. Here are our Holiday Tournament: Top Shooters Part 3!

Michael Morawski (Andrew)

Morawski is a face up four man that proved to be able to hit three pointers at a high clip.

Joe Alfirevich (Providence Catholic)

The Providence Catholic point guard came out of the gates strong in his final game at Jack Tosh.

Jayden Johnson (Batavia)

Johnson is one of the premier three point shooters in the state so it was no surprise to see his hot shooting in the first half of their game.

Parker Higginbottom (St. Ignatius)

Higginbottom is more known as a passer, but he shot it really well from three for St. Ignatius in the game we saw.

Dan Florey (St. Ignatius)

Florey is the three point marksmen for St. Ignatius and he did just that hitting a ton of them in their last game at Jack Tosh.

Nate Fleisher (Highland Park)

This 5’11” point guard drilled multiple threes off the catch.

Nick and Dominic Galati (St. Patrick)

The Galati’s were on point from three for St. Patrick in their win over Riverside Brookfield.

Paul Zilinskas (Riverside Brookfield)

This small forward is one of the best available wings in the senior class. Skilled wing that can really shoot it.

Max Christie (Rolling Meadows)

The state’s top overall prospect hit some feathery jumpers in their game against Lyons.

Grant Niego (Lyons)

Niego matched Christie shot for shot in their win including several deep threes.

Colin Campbell (Brother Rice)

Campbell opened our eyes with his skilled game and smooth three point shot.

Garrett Horner (Wheaton North)

Horner was lights out from three. The physically built wing can really let it fly from deep.

Jemel Jones (Eisenhower)

Jones was absolutely on fire from mid-range and three against Tinley Park in the ICCP/Westmont title game barely missing.

Vaurice Patterson (Schaumburg)

Patterson has been a consistent shooting threat all season and the sophomore did it again in the third place game hitting three of them.

Billy Durkin (Hinsdale South)

Durkin is one of the better available shooters in the senior class. Put his strength on display in the title game at York.

Nate Shockey (York)

Shockey tried to bring his team back in the championship game with his three point shooting knocking down some deep threes.

Isaiah Stafford (Bolingbrook)

Stafford has one of the smoothest three point shots in the junior class and it was on display in the Jack Tosh title game against York.
