It was a busy week of basketball action over the holiday season! Let’s now examine the superlatives from the events that we attended. Here are our Holiday Tournament: Top Post Scorers!

RJ Ogom (Homewood Flossmoor)

Ogom is headed to the College of Charleston next season. The physical four man uses his brute strength down in the post to overpower weaker defenders.

Sam Schultz (Oswego East)

Schultz was returning from an injury so he came off the bench. The top unsigned power forward in the state showcased his touch around the hoop and skill down low.

Mac Quast (Hinsdale Central)

Quast is an under the rim post that utilizes quick decisive moves along with toughness for scores.

Brandon Lieb (Deerfield)

Lieb had a huge size advantage at 6’11”. Garners deep post position and has touch around the hoop for scores in the paint.

Kevin Czyzewski (Ridgewood)

Quality small college big man prospect with a fundamentally sound back to the basket game.

Michael Huene (St. Viator)

Huene is a big man that had a couple strong finishes including a powerful drop step.

Colin O’Rourke (Plainfield North)

O’Rourke works well from the mid-post area in with his short jumper and feel around the rim.

Colin Crothers (Benet)

Crothers is a below the rim post that has a crafty game using his strength to score through smaller opponents.

Connor Linke (St. Charles North)

Linke only took three shots, but the Bradley commit displayed hook shots and feel in the paint.

Sincere Callwood (Simeon)

Callwood is a physical player inside that moves bodies with his strength and power game.

Trent Howland (Joliet West)

Howland is an undersized post that mauls on the interior and will posterize an opponent at the rim.

Kamran Banks (Springfield Southeast)

Unknown post made noise with his play at the Collinsville Holiday Tournament. Put together quite a game scoring in the paint.

Kendale Anderson (Leo)

Powerful JUCO prospect that is built like a defensive end. Uses his brute strength to finish!

Devin Cheaney (Batavia)

Cheaney opened our eyes with his play. The legit sized five man was productive scoring with his back to the basket.

AJ Casey (Tinley Park)

Casey was spectacular in the championship game of the ICCP/Westmont Tournament. The mobile four man scored with athleticism and quickness inside.

Julian Campbell (Palatine)

Campbell is a huge body, but had previously been seen as more of a perimeter shooting big. He displayed a better understanding of how to use his girth inside to score.

Chris Hodges (Schaumburg)

The Wisconsin Badgers commit is one of the state’s top low post scorers with his size, strength, and skill on the block.

Aaron Tims (Hinsdale South)
