Alcoa Leads a Talented District with a Mammoth Collision Scheduled for Friday
Alcoa lost Tuesday night. Fulton won. Scott won again. The district standings did not change though as each team played outside District 4AA.
Last week three of the 4AA teams resided in the CONSIDERED section of our PrepHoopsTN Top 10 in Class AA (Fulton, Alcoa, Austin-East), but one team bounced up into the revered! Scott won their 13th game in a row and landed at #9 in the state last week!

Alcoa and Fulton are common postseason representatives at Class AA State Tournament. Alcoa and Fulton actually appeared together in 2017-2018 with some of the current players suited up.
Ronald Jackson, Nick Roberts, Isaiah Cox, Nick Marsh. They all played in the state quarterfinal loss to Livingston Academy. Tuesday night Nick Roberts scored 10 points in a loss at Knoxville Webb School. Cox is an extremely athletic if a little erratic from the field and he can lockdown defense on top players.
Fulton’s 2018 appearance included a riveting semifinal overtime win over Stratford High of Nashville and a narrow loss to behemoths Hamilton High, 60-58 in the title game. Fulton played in four of the last five State Championship Games, winning one in 2016. Fulton’s Head Coach Jody Wright is easily the most accomplished coach in the district and possibly the state. Last season Coach Wright surpassed 700 career wins!
