2020 Uncommitted Prospects: Wings

With many prospects from the state already making their decision on where they will continue their academic and athletic careers, there are many guys on all levels yet to make a decision. Here is a list of wing players in the state who still have a huge decision to make. <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jalen-myers/">Jalen Myers</a>, 6'7 SF, Bob Jones: This prospect is one of the more interesting prospects in the state. His ability to play both inside and outside makes him valuable across many levels of college basketball. The lefty can play on the perimeter and really thrives in the high to the mid-post area. He can shoot the three and at his size and skill set, he is a very good ball-handler and passer. He can play on the Division 1 level and thrive. He needs to continue to get stronger and tighten up his ball-handling, but come next season he would've surely made so college coach very happy they were able to land him. Austin Harvell, 6'6 SF, East Limestone: This big and physical wing player wherever he decides to play next will come in physically ready. He has the potential to be a 3 and D type of guy that gets after it on the defensive end of the floor. With that mentality, he should step on campus right away and be able to compete. He has an improved jump shot and handles which has allowed him to extend his game and make him even more valuable on the college level. he has yet to narrow his final list but has informed us it will be out very soon. <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jamel-king-2/">Jamel King</a>, 6'6 SF, Paul Bryant: A shooter! At 6'6 he has the size to get his shot off against any defender. Puts you in the mind of a young John Petty (from The University of Alabama) who handles it well, but shoots it very well and has size. Thrives in transition and as he showed during the last travel season with the [program_tooltip program_id='2076562' first='Alabama' last='Fusion'] he can finish on top of defenders with monster dunks. His recruitment is still here and there but coaches looking for an active wing should take a close look at this prospect. <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/tyler-langston/">Tyler Lang</a>, 6'6 SF, Leflore: Textbook is the best way to describe his jump shot. His mechanics are very good which tells you he spends time in the gym perfecting his craft. He shoots the ball the same way on every shot that gives him the ability to take and make tough shots. His recruitment is also here and there and not much has been said about his potential landing spots, like others in this article will make some assistant coach look like a genius once he lands this prospect. <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/geraldo-lane/">Geraldo Lane</a>, 6'4 SF, Columbia: This prospect has one of the best free-throw line pull-up jump shots you have probably seen in a very long time. His ability to get to his sweet spots on the floor and raise up and shoot is a very good skill to have. He rebounds the ball very well for his size and position. He needs to add some bulk that will allow him to take that pounding on the college level whatever that level may be. <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/sedrick-pettway/">Sedrick Pettway</a>, 6'5 SF, Northridge: He has probably been one of the more under-recruited prospects in the state. His is long and lanky which allows him to guard multiple positions that are of value on every level of basketball. He can shoot the ball with range and handles it well versus pressure. Needs to work on decision making and passing ability but he can shoot it which makes him very valuable. He has good size and has a very quick 1st stop which makes him a nightmare to guard one-on-one. He will be a project for the school he chooses but with the right guidance could turn out to be a very good college basketball player.
