Marlo Fox has only continued to impress during his junior campaign with the Sandites. His improvements to his shooting game have been so salient that they even prompted a nod from teammate Davon Richardson after a strong shooting performance on opening night. Fox was great at the TMC Veteran’s Arena Invitational, knocking down shots from various spots on the floor — proving he’s more than a one-trick pony. Fox has smooth, consistent and agile form, allowing him the freedom to shoot confidently from anywhere on the floor and avoid defenders’ hands.
Jason Clark | 2022 G | Sand Springs
Sophomore standout Jason Clark saw a lot of playing time during the final day of action at the TMC Veteran’s Arena Invitational, and, consequently, took advantage of that time. He netted a pair of 3-pointers against NW Arkansas Hornets (HS) in a big win, finishing with 10 points. The bottom line on the sophomore — he’s consistent, quick and great in movement.
Sam Kirkman | 2025 PG | NW Arkansas Hornets (HS)
You don’t get the chance to watch a seventh-grader playing varsity often. More impressively, however, Sam Kirkman netted four 3-pointers to notch 15 points against Sand Springs, leading all scorers in the loss and impressing the home-crows. Oo’s and Ah’s erupted from the crowd as Kirkman exercised his uncanny range at the TMC Veteran’s Arena Invitational last weekend. The baby-faced, wide-eyed point guard was unafraid to launch shots well beyond the typical non-desperation distance, and, to the bewilderment of most in the gym, he converted.
Tyreece Frierson | 2022 SG | Tulsa Memorial
Tyreece Frierson has continued to impress in his young career for the Chargers. The sophomore has been money from the 3-point line each time I have been able to see him, including an explosive outing at the Chargers’ eponymous tournament. Frierson has the accuracy of an archer, with the release speed of a great quarterback. Frierson only requires a couple inches of space to launch deep shots from well beyond the arc.
Kavon Key | 2020 W | Tulsa Memorial
Kavon Key was mr. reliable for Tulsa Memorial last weekend, shooting very efficiently and torching teams who were negligent in closing-out on his shots. Key rarely takes bad shots; he takes near-range shots out of the catch with great confidence and a repetitive, unwavering shooting form, allowing him to shoot at a high percentage.
Seth Pratt | 2023 G | Tulsa Memorial
Tulsa Memorial freshman standout Seth Pratt truly set himself apart last weekend as one of the most exciting young prospects on his team, thanks to his elite shooting ability. Pratt’s performance could only prompt a “money from me each time he caught the ball in the corner with any space whatsoever. And, most times, he proved me right. I was highly impressed with the consistency of the freshman, a rare trait shared by players of his tenure. His 6-foot-2-inch frame aided him in finishing those shots smoothly above the reach of defenders.
Ethan Cole | 2020 SG | Collinsville
Ethan Cole has the makings of a book-loading shooter. Cole doesn’t necessarily wow with long, improbable shots, but rather impresses with his repetition and consistency when shooting beyond the arc. He has the height advantage to outlast defenders on the shot attempt; after that, it’s just a matter of accuracy for Cole when taking shots. Luckily for the Cardinals, he has that accuracy as he was highly reliable for his team last weekend.
