3rd Star
Zack Gritters (2022, Covenant Christian)
Gritters was the key to a 67-62 victory over Zeeland East. In a tough and choppy game, he was able to lead his team offensively. Gritters scored just shy of 33% of his teams total points.
2nd Star
Jahkary Towns (2023, G, Godwin Heights)
Towns continued his impressive freshmen campaign, leading his Godwin Heights team to a 60-50 win over Wayland. He had 24 total points with 15 of them coming off 3 pointers. Towns continues to prove that he’s one of the top young talents in Michigan. He’s a must see prospect over the next 4 years. Towns is a smooth athlete with a pretty jumper.
1st Star
Jason Jergens (2021, PG, Howardsville Christian)
Jergens was magnificent in Howardsville Christian’s 64-56 win over Grand Rapids Wellspring Prep. He exploded for 38 points with 7 three pointers. Jason Jergens did a great impression of his older brother Dylan Jergens, a sharpshooter now at Central Michigan University. That being said, Jason appears well on his way to making a name for himself in high school basketball.
