Some of the top teams from the West Coast were on hand plus some teams from all over the country. Multiple Florida teams were well represented.
Corona Centennial (CA) defeated the talented Bishop Gorman (NV) in the Platinum bracket.
Here were some of the top seniors I viewed from Nor-Cal and Nevada:
Marcus Bagley SG 6’8 Sheldon (CA)
-A very complete guard with great size, skill, athleticism and plays the game with a high IQ. He is a very good passer and has NBA deep range. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him in the McDonald’s AA Game. ASU commit.
Xavion Brown PG 6’1 Sheldon (CA)
-Pure PG is one of the most athletic lead guards. He has a nice burst into the lane and makes incredible passes on the break and in the half court set. He also is a terrific on-ball defender with his massive wingspan and supreme athleticism. Arguably the best rebounding guard on the West Coast.
Mwani Wilkinson SF 6’5 Bishop Gorman (NV) (#4 rated from Prep Hoops NV)
-Elite motor and athlete. A pogo stick type of athlete. Plays multiple positions on the court and defends all. Great body and springs up quickly and is explosive to dunk the ball. Elevates on his jumper better than most guards would. His toughness is what separates him from many.
Daishen Nix PG 6’4 Trinity International Prep (NV) (#1 rated from Prep Hoops NV)
-We are running out of things to say for arguably the top pure PG in the country from the class. He just makes the game easy for his teammates and when he needs to get one he just does. Puts his head down and bullies his way to the cup to score and can shoot it from NBA range. He avg 31 points in the “Prep Division” and took home the MVP and Championship. UCLA commit.
Julian Strawther SG 6’6 Liberty (NV) (#2 rated from Prep Hoops NV)
-Another player who makes the game easy for his teammates. He can score the ball in every way possible with deep range. He has a thicker build to get into the lane and score it through contact. Has the euro, floater and then will work you inside the paint. A very good passer and is headed to Gonzaga.
