Season high in scoring 35 points against Ben Lomond. Season high in three pointers made 5 three times. Career high in points is 38 points and career high in three-pointers made is 8.
Mark is on pace to hit 1500 points in his career. He has played significant minutes for Bear River since he was a freshman.
Mark is an elite scorer, he knows how to work angles and set up his defender off of screens. His off the ball movement and change of speed makes him difficult to defend. When teams face guard him he often becomes more dangerous as he opens the floor up for his teammates. His range is unlimited as he crosses half-court and is always looking to attack. There is no passiveness in any part of his offensive game. Mark does a great job of finding holes in a zone defense. He can hit shots with defenders on him or when they are closing out. He is almost automatic when he is left wide open.
Putting length on him can be tricky because is the taller defender doesn’t have the foot speed they will be unsuccessful. Smaller guards will have trouble because he has an great elevated jump-shot. A triangle and two or box-in-one will be difficult because of his ability to rub off of screens and post up smaller guards.
Although Mark is thin, he is strong and has endless energy. Defensively he defends well for the energy that he puts out on the offensive end.
Mark should be recruited by every NWAC school in the area. Division 1 JUCO’s need to take a serious look at him. He is instant offense and works his tail off on defense. He fits in well with a team that likes to get up and down the floor, but he is really effective in the half court set. Mark is a high volume shooter but his field goal percentage is impressive as is his free-throw percentage.
