The weekend of Indiana high school hoops has wrapped up and I am here to bring you some highlights. Let us dive into Saturday’s action!

Lander and Dease have 20 point games

Last night, Evansville Reitz had a big cross-state game against Christian Brothers, who is based out of Missouri. Even with coming up short in a 78-72 loss, Reitz's Khristian Lander and Owen Dease had great games. Lander lead the Panthers with 26 points while his teammate Dease had 21 points. Reitz is currently on a 3 game losing streak but if Lander and Dease can build off their huge games, that losing streak could be snapped.

Michigan City was able to beat Penn 85-77 in an OT win. City came back from a 12-point deficit in the second half to force the OT. City's Watson (21 points) and Hodges (18 points) were both the main reasons for the comeback. Penn's Derek Derda was the leading scorer of the night with 28 points. City will take on Plymouth next while Penn has Elkhart Memorial on deck.

Charlie Yoder's big night

Yesterday was the Champions of Character Classic, which was a great event. One of the best, if not the best, performance of the day was Westview's Charlie Yoder with his 32 points. He lead Westview to victory over University, 53-48. Jacob Sager was the leading scorer for University with 13 points. Both teams are now 4-2 on the season.
