Plus shooter off the catch and has made strides as a ball handler and facilitator over the last year. Can smaller defenders to the block to score. One of the more under recruited forwards in the junior class at this stage. We caught up with the forward to see how his season is going.
“It is going well. We are still figuring out how to play together and gel completely. I think once we get to full form we are going to be a really scary team.”
Where has he seen improvements in his game?
“I feel like I have gotten stronger rebounding. Playing off the dribble. My shot has been an area I keep working on to get better.”
He updated us on the latest with his recruitment.
“A lot of schools have reached out. Toledo offered me a couple weeks ago. I went on a visit to UW-Milwaukee recently. I have also visited Southern Illinois, Loyola, and Wisconsin.”
There are a couple other schools he knows he wants to visit.
“I want to get out to Toledo and Valpo soon.”
With so many juniors making early calls is a decision this year something we could see?
“I don’t have a timeline and am not in a rush to make a decision.”
D’Amico is the #13 overall prospect in the 2021 class and #5 small forward.
