Prospect Spotlight: Sterling White (2021)
Sterling White, a class of 2021 point guard from Bishop Sullivan Catholic, is off to a fine start this season. We watched him earlier this month at the Sleepy Thompson where he set the tone on the defensive end and made sound decisions with the ball. During a recent interview with Prep Hoops, White discussed his overall game and goals among other topics.
PH: For those who haven’t seen you play, how would you describe your game?
SW: “I’m a crafty guard who can get to the bucket and shoot the 3 a little bit. I just play defense. Try to lock down my man. Keep him under 15 points.”
PH: What is the most underrated part of your overall game?
SW: “I think the most underrated part of my game is my IQ. Being a team leader, trying to keep the team composed.”
PH: What are you working on?
SW: “I’m working on my athleticism, trying to finish at the cup and be a vocal leader.”
PH: Who do you model your game after?
SW: “CP3. I try to keep the team composed and be a leader on the court.”
PH: What are your team and individual goals?
SW: “Team goals, win the TCIS championship and make a run at states. My individual goals are to improve my game and get my first offer.”
