Prospect Spotlight: Kenneth Clark (2021)
Kenneth Clark, a class of 2021 guard from Forest Park, was one of the top performers at the DMVelite NoVA Tip-Off earlier this month. He dropped 32 points in a win over Veritas at the event but was also very active defensively where he recorded several deflections and a handful of steals. During a recent interview with Prep Hoops, the energetic guard discussed his overall game and goals among other topics.
PH: For those who haven’t seen you play; how would you describe your game?
KC: “I think I’m crafty. I like to play defense with the hands out. I like to get my teammates involved. Lots of passing. And I like to finish at the rim.”
PH: What’s the most underrated part of your overall game?
KC: “People overlook my passing ability. And I can finish with either hand. I use both hands.”
PH: What is the most improved part of your game in recent months?
KC: “I’ve been working on my shot. It hasn’t shown in the games, but I worked long hours in the summer. Waking up in the morning and having my coaches open the gym for me.”
PH: What are you currently working on?
KC: “Communicating. Staying in help-side. Fully committing to a play I’m going to do.”
PH: What are your goals?
KC: “Team goals are win districts, make it to regionals and win a game in regionals because we haven’t done that yet. I’m trying to get noticed. Get a scholarship. I’m fine with wherever I go. Whether it’s D3, D2, or D1. I just want to play basketball.”
