Dawson Zenger – junior – Rock Creek
The 6-foot guard averaged 19 points a game as a sophomore and has taken it to another level so far in his junior campaign. He torched Clay Center for 39 points, put up 31 in two other games, and averaged 29.4 in five wins before Christmas break.
Nahcs Wahwassuck – sophomore – Royal Valley
The 6-foot-4 sophomore was so advanced last year, he was named all-Big Seven league as a freshman. In leading the undefeated Panthers, he scored 21 against Hiawatha, 16 against Holton and 19 versus Nemaha Central.
Tanner Hecht – junior – Wamego
The 6-foot-5 junior tossed in 19 against Rossville and 26 against Chapman.
Cameron Beardsley – junior – Valley Heights
Beardsley ripped Frankfort for 28 points, then followed it up with 15 against Mission Valley.
Avery Gatzemeyer – sophomore/Tyler Lackhart – senior – Valley Falls
The one-two punch led the Dragons to a 5-0 start prior to the break. Gatzemeyer, a 6-foot-1 guard went for 22 against Horton and Oskaloosa, and 23 versus Onaga. The sophomore drilled an unbelievable six three-pointers in a quarter in the Oskaloosa game.
The 6-foot-3 Lockhart is a four-year starter who averaged 14 points and 8 rebounds last season. The consistent senior tossed in 20 against Oskaloosa.
