Jack Christian (2021) | 5-10 G | Marysville
Christian is a multi-sport athlete that we are quite high on, because he flat out competes. An undersized guard that is a streaky shooter that can catch fire at times, which has led him to averaging 26 points a game through Marysville’s first three games. A 35 point outing against Westland just goes to show the skill that the junior brings to the court. We have seen Christian a few times and he’s a guard that can get it multiple ways. Tough.
Derrick Hardin (2020) | 6-0 G | Worthington Christian
With DJ Moore our, Hardin is a huge reason that Worthington Christian has gotten out to a 3-1 record. Hardin had a solid summer and it has carried over into school ball fairly well. Putting up 23 points a game through four games, Hardin is looking like a senior riser candidate. In his first appearance this season he dropped 33 against Dayton Thurgood. The unsigned senior is definitely worth a look.
Brian Collier (2020) | 6-0 PG | Grandview Heights
Collier is one of the best scoring point guards in the senior class in Central Ohio. Dominates with the ball in his hands and doesn’t need much room to shoot it. Has improved strength over the last year which helps him better absorb contact and finish around the rim. Off to a 3-1 start, Collier had a 35 point performance in an upset loss to Liberty Union. The senior is worth a look at division ll programs and would be a standout at a division lll.
Darius Parham (2021) | 6-3 WG | Bishop Ready
Bishop Ready got off on the wrong foot with a close loss to Fairfield Union. Despite the loss Parham put up 31 points and was a standout. The 6-3 guard brings good size to his position and sees favorable matchups in the CCL at times. The junior is going to put up numbers this season.
Dylan Johnson (2021) | 6-2 WG | River Valley
I was able to watch Johnson in a scrimmage prior to the season, as well as a win over Olentangy Berlin and he was solid. Johnson is athletic, rises up for jumpers and is quick slicing through the lane. The Vikings are off to a 3-0 start largely because of their backcourt. Johnson is averaging 19 points a game early in the season and could battle in the MOAC to be amongst the top scorers. Player to keep an eye on as he continues to improve.
